Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

I am curious to see the figs but the ship has sailed in terms of interest for this line up.

Same story here.

Lost interest.

About 6 months ago. HT really blew this one up. I still have this feeling that XMFC figures won't be at SDCC.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

I probably will, but considering all the other stuff HT is putting out. (All the batman stuff) I'll more likely pass on these. I wouldn't have half a year or so ago, but I'm not made of mula.

Obviously, being a Nolan/Batman junkie that I am it would be an easy decision. And that's where HT screws up. They need to get a hold of their release schedule. It's all over the place and they are potentially screwing themselves without knowing it. Unfortunately this isn't the only line HT has outed themselves from.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

Thats a good point, releasing figures that will be successful at a time where another much desired license has figures coming, means one of them loses out just because of timing

Timing is EVERYTHING in many products...I agree...XFC is MEH to me now but a year ago or so...would have been all over it.
Batman is eternal, though:lol

:exactly: The figures were $120 - $150 then no issue picking up niche licenses but at $189 - $275 the focus is more narrow / must have items.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

Yup. They messed up. Now they are stuck putting up XMFC figs up for PO's in the middle of all this batman/avengers hype. If it is the latter, and they show them after the hype dies down most people who haven't yet will most likely have lost interest by then.

It seems HT has been trying to get control of it though, for example, their ASM Spidey was perfectly timed. I could have easily seen that figure not going up for PO until late summer or even fall.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

It's X-MEN!!! they'll get sales :lecture

Not as much sales than if they capitalised on it right away, they've missed out on those who lap up 'currently hot' licenses, but they'll get plenty.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

No doubt they will have sales, but like you stated, I would have most likely ordered these if they were up when I had the most interest towards them.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

I just pray this doesn't get the chop with zero figures made.

Some of you may recall last year i had a sig with my three most wanted licensed figures for 2012... MGS, Green Lantern & X-Men First Class. So far they only have two figures debuted, COMBINED :(

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

That's the thing too.

HT said that Charles was near complete right?

No word since and that was what? Early June?

So you expected a tease or reveal in just over a month? Totally unrealistic given the Avengers and Batman priority.

Besides I thought you had "lost interest" yet you continuously post in this thread.

I bet you buy these whenever they are released just like the rest of us.

Why are you so condescending? I have lost interest to buy them, but I'd still like to discuss and eventually see how they turn out . That means I can't post in the thread anymore? Awesome logic. :cuckoo:

Interesting that you condemn me for "continuously posting" when I've only seen a few posts from you in this thread. :rolleyes2

Over a month? These were announced... what... a year and a half ago? :dunno
:lol

Joker was revealed shortly after that same interview was released.

If you don't like my posts then put me on ignore, or just

And no I'm not "gonna buy this like everyone else." But it will be cool to see them in other's collections.

:rolleyes2 Lord, it is not a "condemnation".

I just find it funny how when I come to read up on this thread, I find you saying how you "lost interest", then as I read on you account for like half the total posts after that pronouncement.

I have posted 20 times according to the search engine, so I guess my interest is pretty well established.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

I firmly believe that at least one, if not both of the figures from this line will be on display at the HT booth as SDCC!

It'll be one of the surprise reveals.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

No offense man, but how can you lose interest, yet still like to discuss them. Kind contradicting. :dunno

I really hope they reveal something soon. Instead we get the ____ing 60s Batmobile.

I think it's funny how you care so much about my interest in these figures. LOL

Again, I'm not totally interested in buying these, but I am interested to see how they turn out.

You don't have to buy a figure to show your interest. :dunno

I liked seeing Jake Sully, MGS, Batman 89, and ASM figures without the interest in buying them.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS: X-Men 1st Class

Can't believe they've shown a reveal pic of another batmobile from a license they never announced, but still refuse to provide even a teaser of this that was announced like a year and a half ago

The batmobile will be awesome as will the figures, it's just a case of no one was anticipating that because it wasn't announced, which is the opposite of this which has people waiting

It's Batman.......might even get a Clooney and Kilmer announcement before these hit. :wink1:

I kid because they killed Lantern which was high on my list. Whereas the GL problem been around their flag ship licenses Batman or Ironman they would have found a way to make it work. Whatcha gonna do.....
