Given all of the spotty paint in the red parts of the torso, I don't know how you guys can get so worked up over a little scratched paint at the elbow. It's no worse than all of the paint defects the figure has elsewhere right out of the box, you know?

i dont care about the paint rub at all , it doesn't piss me off , i just took the pic for a board member that aske dif anyone else had the same problem ,/ i can just paint touch it up , no big deal :pfft:

Those guys have great prices. A shame their selection is only about a dozen Hot Toys figures; one could never count on them having the figure you want. If I'd known I could have gotten the figure $14 cheaper I would have waited. Too bad they don't have any of the Iron Man armors.

Mine has a lot of what kinda looks like scratched off areas of paint in the scales of his torso. Glad to know I'm not the only one. It doesn't look bad really, I'm OK with it.

Yeah, comparing my own to others photos it looks like they're all missing paint in the same spots, so they must have used some kind of stamp to apply the red and black paint and it wasn't entirely thorough. Too bad they didn't do a little retouching, but its not that big of a deal.

Not flake, or a not on mine. It just wasn't put on very well. And some of the joints are so tight that it scrapes it off, along with a slice of the PVC.

All this talk about paint chipping and spotty paint makes me a tad hesitant to get this guy. Is it really that noticable?
There's no chipping. The paint application just wasnt entirely thorough. You tell me how noticable you think it is. In this photo, we're talking about the small white specs within the red and black areas, most noticeable along his lower left torso.

Mine doesn't have any paint issues or sliced off pvc, but the pose I've chosen is pretty much just a straight standing look with the arms at the side, which is basically how he came straight out of the box.

Rather have the tight joints scraping a little paint off then a loose puppet. Don't think it's that big a deal. Should have mine tomorrow :yess:

I'm just giving Acorn and you shat......:nana:

I have a couple more days to wait..... I do already have his head though... looks great ...:yess:

Same here, but when I first got him I moved his shoulder up and turned his waist, that caused a few of the problems I mentioned.
For the paint issue, check out the right pectoral, namely the red paint.

Yeah, thats actually the place the inconsistent paint application bothers me the most. Both the red and black application is pretty spotty on mine in that area.
