What happens when you buy from an online store like SS or BBTS and there is a problem with the figure. Do they deal with it or does Hot Toys deal with it?

Any chance someone could offer some advice. My Berserker's bio helmet is plagued with a seriously crooked jawbone. It does not display very well as you can imagine. If a replacement helmet from sideshow does not happen, is there any way to correct this factory problem? Maybe heating the helmet and removing the jawbone then gluing it back into the correct position?

Just pull the bone off and re glue it man.

That should do it.

I am so sorry for the problem but I will try contacting SS first. This is new item u should get good quality. If else fails then try pull the damn jaw and put it back.

have any of you bought items from toy square (toys2.net), any problems? looking to buy a few things and just wanted your feedback

Thanks for the replies. I might try just pulling it off and gluing it back. The only reason that I would buck at this is that the figure cost so much and should be correct out of the box. But from purchasing figures in the past, these issues due come up. SSC has already been contacted and now just waiting to see if they can send me a replacement. If this fails, then I will just due as instructed.
B.

Actually, after looking at the problem, it seems like the jawbone suffers from a mold problem. So even if I can pull it off, it does not appear as though it will fit right after. Just an observation.

My Zerker has landed!

This is actually my first Predator figure from Hot Toys and my initial impression is: Very impressive.

I'll take him out of the box when I get home. Looking forward to setting him up. Looks like I've got the Pred-bug now... ;)

Pull it off, heat with a blow dry till it softens and glue back on. Should shape to the contour of the jawline.

It's a great figure.....now welcome to bankruptcy:lol

Ok, I'm hooked.

I know that I'm late to the party but what an impressive figure. Paint apps are amazing. Detailing is so cool, all around. And to top it all off, it's got that delicious "new figure" scent... ;)

Targetting laser duplicates that 3-light effect perfectly.

One ugly but amazing mo-fo...

LOL Yeah I can relate to that. Berserker was my first Hot Toys figure and definitely not last.

Good grief! Out of all the Hot Toys figures I own, the Berserker is my first one that had some serious quality issues.

First Berserker I received in December had a missing leather piece on the belt. :slap

I contacted HT customer service and 2 1/2 weeks later got a reply. Sent them my contact info they requested and still haven't received the replacement belt. Alter Ego ended up sending me a replacement Berserker after I returned that one.

The replacement Berserker I received from AE had additional quality issues. It looked like the skull paint hadn't dried before someone at the factory put it in the box as you can see from the photo some of the paint smeared off. There was even some tiny pieces of what looked like tissue paper where the paint rubbed off. Plus some weird white stuff on the spine as seen in the photo. Also the LED in the helmet didn't work, along with the battery cover that wouldn't tighten due to a stripped screw hole.

I returned the second Berserker to AE. To avoid further shipping back and forth, AE opened the third one they were going to send me and discovered bad paint apps on the torso that had rubbed off similar to the skull on the second one I returned. Since AE had no more in stock, they had Sideshow send me a replacement Berserker.

I received my replacement Berserker from Sideshow this week and I am happy to say there is not a single thing wrong with it. LED works, no paint issues, no missing parts, etc. :yess:

Shame on Hot Toys for letting quality control slip like that.

Kudos to Alter Ego for all their help and excellent customer service. :clap This just reaffirms why I continue to buy from them.

I think it's interesting to see that others have had issues with the quality of their Berserker. When I received mine I had two left arm gauntlets, which meant that I could not attach the blade. So rather then going through the head ache of sending the Berserker back and waiting for a replacement I decided to order the correct gauntlet for $34. I saw that someone received one with two left feet. Seriously how hard is it to make sure that $200 figures leave the factory the right way? I wonder if the increased business has affected the quality control of HT?:impatient:

First predator from Hot Toys for me too. I was impressed at the weight of the figure which I noticed immediately when pulling him out of the tray.

If you haven't already, look into getting Falconer. :yess:
