I bought two of these, one for my collection and the other for an investment of future trade.

That happened to me also .

Pull the whole ball joint out and then insert it back into the neck 1st , once you do that then pop the head back on

just get a pair of pliars - wrap a piece of cloth around the balljoint and pull
