Thanks guys...yeah the shades are custom and not from the old hamburger face HT figure. The cool thing is this guy went all out being accurate. When you put the shades on you cannot see the red LED shine through just like the movie.

Congrats on that. Kinda wish I'd seen it on ebay myself what with the working LED endo-eye, blood cleaned off the face and those shades, 3 things my kitbash falls short on. Probably for the best that I didn't see it though.

The shades, they look comparable to the ones Vialli made a thread for recently, a guy he was in contact with was going to make them, a chap from Germany if memory serves. If your seller was german it might be one and the same guy.

It probably was. He had other auctions that ended shortly before this one just for the shades. His eBay name is tankograd2006.

The auction was a few weeks ago and I believe someone earlier in this thread even commented on it. He said the price was too high but considering what you get and the fact that I did end up getting it for less with the best offer option, I think it was worth it.

I bid on an auction for the aforementioned shades a few weeks ago, that may have been him. I didn't win, think I bumped the price up quite a bit though :monkey3

edit - in fact, just checked, it was him.

The auction for this whole figure went on for a bit. He had it priced higher and the auction ended without anyone bidding. So then he relisted it lower but now with a best offer option. So I waited till the end and took a chance that someone wouldn't do the buy it now. There were a few offers that were rejected. So I made my offer and boom he accepted. If you were bidding on the shades auction, I would be almost positive this is the same guy.

He carved out a piece of the head that you can remove to turn the eye on and off. However he did it in a way that when you put the piece back on, it blends right in. I'm very impressed with his work overall. He should make more of these. I think he would do well.

That sounds great. Like a PERS hatch hidden in the hair.

Don't know if you saw my edit of my previous post but I logged into ebay and found that yes, it was indeed the same guy whose auction I bid on for the shades.

Yes I saw that. I think I was typing my reply while you went back and added that. :lol

Actually I think I'll save him in favourites, might be interested in future things he might be selling if he's into Terminator.

Same here. He may do more customs down the road. i would love to have another one look like the same one that P. posted here. The "ran over by the truck" version.

i'd say "don't even try to remove". HT face paint has complex colors, they will be erased as well, and the head will look very cheap. almost every eye-cut head i've seen was done that way.

Yeah I made on offer on this, It was a German guy wasn't it ? He made a counter offer, But I couldn't justify the cost even though it was a nice custom, Trouble is I saw another T1 PS go for less a couple of weeks ago from a UK seller, Not as nice though but a lot cheaper, So I had that in mind when I made my offer. Plus you just know HT will release one eventually:gah:Still very nice piece though that is lacking in my Terminator collection :monkey2
