I got a phicen m34 to have two versions, one battle damage repair scene and regular tech noir scene. Phicen m34 is taller, neck mod used to thicken it. I wrapped the body in cloth to put on the terminator clothes easier as the rubber caught onto the fabric. Had to put some on the arms to allow movement for future posing.
Lovely T-800s there, bud. Did you dye the trousers on your centre custom?
I'm a bit confused, is it the MMS 238 that has the green trousers more accurate to the film? I have what should be 2x MMS 238 trousers/ figures and one is green and one tan. One of the figures I bought was a kit bash made up of all 238 parts but the jacket (136). I then bought a CIB 238 and the trousers are tan coloured. So, I am thinking it is unit variation and I got lucky with one trousers being more screen accuratw in colour. Unless, the greener trousers are in fact 136.
When I noticed that Arnie's screen worn trousers were neatly ironed with a crease running down thw front, middle, I spent hours replicating this. So, I damp ironed the crease and it looks much better and neater now, like the film. It took some trial and error to get the crease palced correctly and I almost gave up with it. But I took my time and perservered and , the result was worth it. I also tucked them into his boots with just the right amount of tucking and pulling up to replicate the drape and pleats the trousuers have in the film.
That said, my OCD and perfectionism is getting the better of me and after quite a bit of futzing, I am wondering if I can make the crease sharper. However, I really don't like overhandling 1/6 scale parts, especially clothing, as it is very easy to damage them. The velcro at the crotch area especially weakens with each and every time you un-do and re-stick it, for example. And the waist stretches when you take the trousers off and back on too much.
Maybe best I leave it for now, as it may make it worse. Some things are best left alone; I get obsessive but I should maybe take my own advice and leave alone for its own good - and mine So, I was thinking to instead try to get a new pair of trousers to work on and see if I can get the crease stronger whilst preserving my existing pair. But I am stumped as to if 136, or 238 is green. Or, I am thinking to see if a custom pair could be made with a thinner material more like the films trousers, that would drape and look more accurately than the stock HTs pair. Something like the material used for my Dark toys Deckard's trousers would suit I reckon.
Many thanks and happy collecting!
UPDATE: a collector friend told me that the MMS 238 have the accurate colour. So, it must just be unit variation and I got fortunate.
