he looks off!! looks like 2 different figure from 2 different company.

I think this is unfair. A non-futzed, non-posed, poorly, angled pictured figure compared to a professional photoshoot image, that doesn't work.

I would first try to replicate the pose and lighting and background and most importantly futz it.

The new pics look better of course but I agree with Mike (Hydeous) - doubt anyone would be able to tell who it is without the costume.

If I was a Marvel collector though, I wouldn't hesitate to pick this one up, overall looks a great figure

Yeah, its the best Cap out there right now, and I have this on PO. Was hoping HT to tweak the head sculpt a bit. But then again, I understand their reason not to, as even with this sculpt, the fans would buy this anyways. Plus there's the other version, and also the Avengers version that they need to sell later on.

Although I don't really understand what he wrote, it got me thinking. Is HT starting to grow too big, starts to disappoint the collectors or are we as a consumer, are just getting spoilt by HT?

We wouldn't even dare to dream of getting something this accurate in 1/6 scale a few years ago:lol

HT growing too big and taking on too much :lecture

They've been increasing their prices beyond reason so we should expect perfect QC and high quality likenesses. Their artists are capable of it, so why settle for anything less than our money's worth?

True but on the other hand, those two pics are significantly different. Also, different cameras and different photographers.

i hope its just the camera. Why is the belt bucket facing the wrong way?

That's the thing they're going to make mistakes as they grow and have more QC issues than in the past (and they did have some despite the notion they never do). What I will be curious to see is will people rake them over the coals they way some will SS when they mess up.

I know. Its crazy how much things have changed in the near decade I've been collecting this stuff.

But then again, there might be issues like actor or licensor approvals? We would never know, until the collectors bombard their FB page like what happened during the Mark III BD Tony sculpt:lol

Still looks like Evans to me. His face isn't as distinct as say, Ford, Keaton or Reeves, especially under a mask.

The little clip was an improvement as Khev pointed out. Definitely not enough difference from proto to prod to be unhappy with this one.

I like how you managed to put capital letter on the name, but still managed to spell it wrong.

It's Reeve btw:wave
