That sucks, but I'm sure that you'll still be able to find him. I thought I was going to have to pay at least $200 for Thor with him being sold out just about everywhere, but Hastings ended up having him for only about $140. Plus there are some folks who are just waiting for the Avengers figures to have only 1 cap/thor/iron man on their shelves so i don't think finding cap later will be that much of a problem

Tons of discounted prices on new releases to be had at gohastings, evilbay and even on the freaks board. HT pricing is keeping items in stock longer and people discounting figures to move them. I agree, he will e available later probably cheaper than retail.

The way the releases are going it'll be available at a discount price in a few months. No need to pre-order anymore.....

Hope so. HT figs can be a crapshoot when it comes to availability sometimes.

:exactly:

Especially with Hot Toys it seems. I cancelled Batman Begins a total of 5 times before I decided to waitlist it ...which converted overnight then I read the forum of all the messed up things with it...got nauseous and called them stat to cancel it again. I admire their patience with me :lol

Not at the prices they expect to get for them these days. A 1:6 over $200 should be the rarest of exceptions....not the norm.

This fig is on the inexpensive side..at least nowadays. The $130 price point for HT figs are long gone...:monkey2

Superman, Goblin, Mark IV - VI, Thor, Odin, Bruce Lee, Todd, Alice etc.... all with patience can be had at prices below retail. IMO Cap will be no different especially with the USO version (possibly) looming. If I wouldn't get hit with cancel fees, I'd wait myself.

totally agree.

But at the same time Sometimes patience is good in this hobby and sometimes not so much. For Batman and Iron Man related figures, I don't think patience or hope for lower prices is good. those seem to skyrocket on place like eBay or online retailers even before they're sold out. I saw that CSC had the HT TF EX Batman and sold it for $400!!! It's hard to know when to PO and/or buy right away or just wait it out to hope for a better price instead of kicking yourself for having to pay the crazy price that has become the norm for the figure(s)

Or if you want something bad enough in your collection price wont factor into it.

just received my Cap A figure last saturday...man is it a beaut! exactly how it would look like in the proto..but there were some adjustments needed to be made. Took out the belt even though the belt buckle was in the right place. It just didn't hang right for me so i removed the glue from the buckle for it to reveal me the attached magnets and then put them through a few of the belt loops on pants just so it stays hidden behind the left and right pouches. Also, the buttons on the jumpsuit wasn't aligned properly, easy fix detached them and reglued them properly with no glue stains. Besides that I'm quite surprised that some of the people in the forums didn't like them as in hand it looks really really close to the proto pics. Will post more if I discover something new but for now I'm a happy camper!

It's funny--the more I look at this figure, the less I like it. Weird.

I just don't understand that people is spending over $170 shipped on eBay. A quick google search for best prices will go to sideshows site. I guess some people relies on eBay or even has the rush on winning an a item from eBay.
