Great pics. This is certainly a figure worth having and if you're on the fence about it, I'd act somewhat quickly. BBTS jacked the price up and Ebay auctions are also alittle higher than MSRP. The Avengers craze has died down alittle but I'm sure will pick up again when Avengers Cap comes out.

Those pics are fantastic! What a way to spend a day at the beach! Thank you! :clap

Thanks man. I'm glad you like them. I finally worked up the nerve to take Cap down during low-tide on our last day. I'm glad I did. These turned out so great I think I'm inspired to work with some of my other Hot Toys in outside environments.

Speaking of inspiration, Steve74, I just gotta say...this is awesome! You have motivated me to post some of my own drawings inspired by these awesome figures over in the MKVI and CR Superman threads. I have to agree, they work great as source material.

Your work is truly awesome! I can't wait to see this finished. I just finished 2D Design and Drawing 1 as my first official college art courses this past spring semester. I can't wait untill I'm at the level that I know how to use color and inks correctly. I messed with them as a kid, but I've only been trained in Graphite and Black and White paint so far. I'm just going to keep practicing with those mediums, untill I have the structure to put it all together. I just have to say though, your artwork has me excited for the future.

Thanks brother, I checked out your CR amd IM pieces, good stuff man. I think one thing that you might want to look into is picking up some non photo blue pencils, I use them and they're great. Looking are you art it looks like you're heavy handed when you draw so the pencil will help out with the designs and layout of your work.

Thanks man. I appreciate the info. I'm definately going to pick some up.

My 2D teacher was a psycho about using pressure for even shading. I barred down like a son of a ******. I swear sometimes I felt like I was engraving the bristol with my drawings haha.

Oh and btw I just noticed you're from GA. I lived in Gwinnett and Athens my whole life untill I moved last year. Go Dawgs!

Got mine today. Sigh at the damn pistol holster. Of course one of the straps was torn as soon as I opened it. Does anyone know of a way to remove the belt so as to put on a replacement belt/holster combo? I just ordered one from ebay but from what I can see does the belt even open?

Finally ordered this guy again and can't wait to have him back in my collection! :panic:

just hoping to get an all around good one like I did the first time

I just received mine on Friday. The A on the helmet looks good and straight and the star looks fine too. However the arms are really stiff. I'm kind of scared to pose it. Both arms are stiff. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw people post up about the shoulders but mine is stiff at the shoulders and elbows.

one of my favorite figures in my collection atm by far. just really dig everything about it.

I did. Didn't have a job for awhile so I had to sell many of my HT. I'm backtracking now to pick a few back up, this version of Cap being one :)

Sorry to hear that but glad to hear you're back on your feet now. What you did was completely understandable. I hope you can rebuild your collection without breaking your back doing so. I know these are expensive in the secondary market.

You just have to try moving them. Take it easy and slow, so you don't break the arms.

Thanks man. Luckily, I got him from goHastings. He was still at retail and they had a $7 off coupon last week so ended up playing less than what I paid at SSC since the shipping from Hastings was only $6.

Glad you love him man and I'm glad I have him back in my hands too :hi5:

Luckily, I got one with no QC issues again thank goodness. That was my main worry especially coming from Hastings

Glad to hear you have a happy ending with this. :clap

goHastings? I never thought to look for products there. Thanks for the idea.

A word of caution with GoHastings...
Some members here have reported that they will take the figures they have on display at their brick & mortars, then throw them back into their box, and sell them to someone over the internet as "new".

Some have reported missing pieces and ripped/dented boxes.

Your mileage may vary.
