I agree that the shield is definitely too small and I am surprised at the somewhat minor backlash people are getting for pointing that out. We are not saying that this is a bad figure obviously, but there is always some room for improvement. This however isn't just nitpicking. It is a major concern because of how central the shield is to Captain America. It needs to be nice and big to really get the effect just right. It's problematic that you can barely see it when it is on his back right now.

Shield looks good to me on his back, looks like covers his whole upper torso, any bigger and might goofy, to me that is. Either way, he is gonna rock.
The shield look fine. Nothing needs to be changed.

Wonder when the BD exclusive version will be announced. 
Because they are in denial....the figure is awesome,but the shield needs tweaking to a slightly larger size
It's pretty clear. Funny thing about CA, seems like his shield is about as much of the character as the man is. I can't imagine HT not fixing this. It's not a complicated object like the sculpt.

oviously you know nothing about the character or an accurate shield size to scale....1:1 scale is 30" in diameter
stop being mesmerized by the figure and look harder, a bigger shield will make this figure 10 times even better
