Hot Toys - MMS169 - The Avengers: 1/6th scale Nick Fury

I knew this would order quickly but I didn't know that it'd ship quickly, they are reporting this out in July? Amongst The Avenger offerings for me he ranks fairly low so I might pass and see when the next one orders/ships. If Fury ships in July but Iron Man or Cap for example doesn't ship out until Q4 I might go back and order but the superhero Avengers are my first priority.

Thankfully I have no interest, as this figure looks excellent! I'm curious to see what's going on under the outfit to give him the gut, would be nice to have a "fat suit" option for bashes.

You people keep on giving HT clues about how much they should charge and when they set the price then you start complaining. I'll buy it if it's USD150 or under. It doesn't deserve a cent more with so light accesories.

I'm sick about posts like: "It'll probably be in the USD200 range but I'll buy it anyway cause it's awesome"
I like Hot Toys figures and I like to support Hot Toys, but not at any price. Come on! It's just a guy with a gun and a case...

I'm sick about people being unrealistictic about the price of these. There hasn't been a figure below $150 for a while. And as stated before, the last few pre-orders/releases have all been over $200.

Other than your opinion, what makes you think this should be @ $150? And none of us are qualified to price any of these based on scults, accessories or any other detail.

And personally, I think the statement that we are giving hot toys an idea of what to charge for these is obsurd. Maybe even a bit arrogant. I just don't thing we have that kind of power or influence.

But this is all just my stupid opinion!

Pre-order price: $145.81
Retail price: $152.26

It's a sure buy for me at that price. Possibly could pre-order it $10 cheaper at some retail stores too!

Retailer discounts don't really pan out anymore with Sideshow's free shipping on most non-ex HT figures.

I don't see much of Sam Jackson in the sculpt, it's the wrong shape for a start, and the eye colour is wrong. I hope they fix it, because it looks more like Ice Cube as Nick Fury
Now the Madame Tussauds' one is a great likeness.

Wow...very disappointed in the sculpt in this particular picture....easy pass IF this is what the final sculpt looks like..some SLJ in there but very little...

I agree and I've been looking for that figure for a good price since it's such a cool one. It's pretty hard to find.

I just looked this up. It's listed for 14080 japanese yen. The conversion into US dollars is $177. So I would think it won't be any less than that. We will have to take shipping into consideration. So my guess would be between $179-$199. IMO
