??? Isn't that just another way of saying "overpriced"? :dunno

I like the fig, but will be waiting until I find it for a reasonable price. In a year full of 'must-have' figures, this just doesn't fit the bill. Sorry, SLJ...

To me he's just not enough of amain character or unique enough for a must-have figure, the launcher is awesome i'll be getting that at least

no...it looks like SLJ, unless you're blind. Its not 100% perfect but you can clearly see SLJ, not just an "angry black man"

As always, people are being overly critical and complaining to complain

Problem is all you need is one section to not like one figure and another section to not like another and then it appears that everyone is complaining about everything.

I dont find the criticism of new releases on here that bad tbh for example I didn't see anyone moaning about Red Skull! Nick Fury though from the promo shots clearly isn't one of HT's best and given the character we're talking about I think the sculpt is one thing they really needed to nail to get people on board from day one.

What I love is when everyone complains about a price, the figure sells out, goes for ton on ebay, and then they wish they had bought it at the 'steal' price of retail :lol

Are there any Hot Toys figures that are going to do that now though? Even the new Hot Toys 1989 Batman I cant see soaring in price simply because it's already been confirmed that a Returns version will be here within the next 12 months.

I think figures like Blade are a thing of the past because even if a figure does sell out chances are the source material it's based on will have a sequel a year or two down the line and thus new improved figures to accompany it.

Why you wait for the deals in Freaks sale thread....:yess: Freaks buying at ebay prices is growing smaller and smaller

:exactly::goodpost:

I spoke with someone in SSC few minutes ago and I ask about why the code don't work and they say to me: for any figure you order and have a free shipping the code DON'T WORK!! :(
I read some guys here order a TT muscular body and put the cod eand work?? please some one explain this!! ;)

I know it's accurate to the movie but its a shame he has that scar on his face, would have been a great sculpt to bash other figures with without modification.

Figure looks great but it's pretty meh , up there with fatburn for being another figure of a great actor as a mediocre character.

It's in the fine print that no one seems to read:

Please note the restrictions: Free U.S. Shipping promotions cannot be used on flex pay items (since the final payment will be after of the promotion’s end date), unless otherwise stated on a products page, or wait list fulfillment orders. This promotion cannot be combined with promotional gift cards, Rewards, site discounts, gift certificates, coupons, etc. Any discounts applied to free shipping items will be removed prior to processing, regardless of whether the site allowed you to apply multiple discounts. As per the rules of the Rewards and Gift Card programs, any of these discounts that are removed are voided and cannot be reinstated. Please make sure you are choosing your items carefully and applying your discounts properly!

Anything with free shipping you cannot use discount codes, gift cards or even reward points on. If the system doesn't catch it, then they'll manually remove it and you'll be SOL.

As for the figure, I'm a fan of SLJ but not to the point of knowing if the number of pores on his face is accurate. It looks like Jackson to me and looks damn near real and I want to buy it but I really fear that we'll get another Avengers showing within the next couple of weeks with as quick of a turnaround and I'd rather spend it on that. Although with their new FP, I might bite at $38 a month.

Actually that's a good point, I assume the eye patch is sculpted? If it is then scar or no scar you wouldn't of been able to do much custom work with this sculpt

Really? To name a few...

  • neck is too long
  • clothes are wrong color
  • not right/enough accessories
  • likeness is off on hugo head
  • too expensive
  • should have the final scene outfit

I dont think I've ever been in a thread about a figure where the complaining didnt outway the positive comments...yet the figure sells out and has people searching high and low a year later paying inflated prices...

same thing different day

unrecognizable?? really?

I say that because the only reason it looks like Jackson's Fury is the distinguishing eyepatch. Take that away and show just the sculpt and it would maybe bear a passing resemblence to SLJ to me.

I'm not one to pick apart sculpts and most of the time HT improves it before production but there's something very off to me about this one.

I'll give you the colour on the clothing I did noticed that mentioned, genuinely missed all the other complaints though. That said with the time difference when I wake up most of the active threads have grown by 7 or so pages so I dont always go back to catch up :slap

I pulled the trigger and PO'ed Nick Fury, no brainer for my Avengers collection. The price is right w/ free shipping and my Tumbler will be paid for by then. It's a sharp looking figure IMHO.

Any figure can be nitpicked to pieces if that's what you're into. ;)

I'm digging the sculpt, it has a little attitude unlike the typical blank expression. In regards to 100% accurate everyone will have opinions BUT Wolverine is my bestest figure in da whole wide world and it isn't 100% Jackman. That said, I want to add this figure but not dropping $190 for it. Game on!

Agree, I'm digging the expression, no blank Thor look with this one.

He's even got more attitude than Blade.

I wish I had a Wolvie.

Like I said, its not perfect. After considering the expression, lighting, and angle...its pretty damn good!
