I don't mean to keep on this, but the price of a Pepsi or bag of chips hasn't gone up 40% in 4 years like HT figures have. The price of gas for your car is a bad analogy, because it is so prone to fluctuate due to political, economic, and military conflict-related factors happening in various parts of the world, among other factors. It goes up, it goes down, governments subsidize it, strike deals to keep it low, tax it, etc. That ain't the case with HT figures :lol

speaking of gas...you can still buy the same gallon of gas (plus more) with two silver dimes as you could back in 1964 for two dimes .20 cents ;)

Stated fact -"The price of gas hasn't risen at all since 1964. You can still buy a gallon of gas for two silver dimes."

It's not about whether one can afford something or not, it's that there comes a point where you're overpaying, when people feel it's not worth it, that they're being overcharged. A person can have the money to buy this figure 1,000 times and still feel it's overpriced, it's got nothing to do with being able to afford it or not. I think that's all people are talking about. It's just a discussion.

ok. It COULD be about afforability. Neither of us knows everyones reason for not buying. And for those who can afford buy also could feel they are being overcharged, you have a choice to buy or not buy. I don't personally care WHY the price is what it is. If I want something and can afford to get it, I get it.

One thing that I wonder why they don't do/think they need to do is release another team shot after each new reveal. Just like the first with Fury, but with each new character highlighted. Let folks see what the team coming together looks like.

They will probably give us group shots with the last figure announced (most likely Hulk)

It seems they are still trying to show them all off fairly quickly so it shouldn't be too long a wait.

:clap

89 Batman is my first DX and the PERS do nothing for me. Thanks god that figure is still amazing!

I find it pointless for 1989 Batman to even have the PERS system. I mean, you can't even move the neck because of the cowl, right?

I have the DX Bruce Lee, and you can do some awesome poses using the PERS.

Don't bash me but don't you guys ever consider it's not hot toys raising these prices but maybe the licensee's themselves.... I'm basing this on the price difference in Lego Star Wars and other lego sets.

HT Nailed both sculpts IMO. You can really see the difference (and how inaccurate their first attempt was) when you look at the two masked portraits side-by-side.

A lot of you guys are also not factoring the licensing costs. Whatever Hot Toys paid Marvel to get Captain America was probably less than what it cost to get the Avengers.

And in this current market, a license for Avengers > Terminator 2.

Me personally, if the toy is amazing, i'll get it regardless of the cost. But to pay $215 and hating the unmasked head means I'll wait for the next one... even if I have to pay more for it. I rather get what I want with my money than second guess my guilt later.

And there will be a Captain America 2. Hot Toys will probably make an even better Cap figure then and i'll be waiting.

just looked at these pics again this morning and they look amazing im now really digging the unmasked sculpt and costume looks ace
