i like this one better than the FA. Just my opinion though since I'm sure people will disagree. I also like ketchup on a hot dog over mustard, and I dont get the big deal over Dr Who.

you'll get the deal if you watch the seasons with Christopher Eccelston and David Tennant playing the Doctor. so seasons 1-4. i can't buy Matt Smith as the Doctor =/

Cap looks like "I better find a bathroom to avenge before I ruin this new suit"
:lol

I've been fortunate with the few HT figures I've cherry picked out of their range thus far; most of mine come with two heads.. & I like them all. :)

Yeah, to be honest I'm not digging this Chris Affleck head.

Totally disagree with this point. After seeing this new one I rushed to buy the first Cap.

I actually meant for it to be the reasoning that HT would probably use to justify the increased price for what is, essentially, a basic figure.

It was not meant to express any personal opinion of mine...I dislike the open-face sculpt but that has not stopped me POing it, I am still getting the figure.

$215 is kinda a turn off for me, HT's pricing is just so random these days. I guess they assume people will pay out more for the top characters.

:exactly:

Honestly MOST of us, if we had a big company like HT , WOULD push the limits of pricing to make as much profit as you could. It's just corporate standard thinking- that's why they are in business.
We are not being outraged by HT raising prices over and over again, we are expressing our displeasure of how it affects us on buying and having to cut back on other stuff to do so. It hits our wallet and that is pretty important.

But yet at the same time, if people are cutting back on the amount of figures that their buying because of the price of a few, then HT will lose money as well. I'm sure they've taken that into consideration too.

It looks more awesome if his costume were BD damage as well, to go along with his BD shield :)

Saving that for the next version

Unfortunately people will, as someone a couple of page back said HT have them by the balls

Yep, people will be buying less figures each figure as the price of each is going up steadily

I hate the face scuplt on the unmasked head! I'll have to think about this one for a bit on whether I'm going to get it.

Off to _____ on HT's Facebook page. :lol

Plus, HT doesn't really have that much competition anymore with 1/6 figs, Medicom and Takara pretty much seem to have fallen from the pole.

:exactly: Most (if not all) will be available later for cheaper than retail with a few exceptions. Too many figures for collector's to own each immediately therefore, a little patience will go a long way.

In addition, Cap, Thor and IM will likely have more versions as their stand alone films and other Avenger films will produce newer "better" versions. I am in no hurry for this line up outside of Hulk.

I am done with HT after the Avengers line. I'm still not into 12" and almost wish I didn't get Jack. It's beautiful and all, but it's just so small. I love statues much more. However, my Alice figure I could never regret. I just love it too much.

This Avengers line is fun, and will look amazing together. So I just feel like it's worth it for these. But for a 1/4 collector, these will be my last 1/6.

Ah, gotcha. :wink1:

man... that suit. it might actually look pretty good in figure form, but not a fan of how it crumples when you bend the waist at all.

i do like that they went for a sculpt with some attitude even if it didn't work this time. gives me hope hulk might be roaring when he's shown. i've got fresh dog spit prepped to add to the mouth area.
