Agreed. Regardless to what some think of the Predator designs, Ian Whyte portrayed Scar very well. His Predator acting as Scar (and Wolf) was great. Based on this I'd actually rank AVP above Predators due to the fact that the AVP Preds felt like Preds as appose to a their 'monster' like behaviour in Predators.

Nah, even tho Rodriguez and Co dumped their own creations (srsly awful final script) at least in "PREDATORS" they weren't the same species while those in AvP were just some lame comic book characters.

Maybe. I'd guess the same if they hadn't just released Classic. Unless they view it as "That was Classic, this is P1"...

I'm not sure I'd rate AvP as a whole above Predators, but I completely agree about the acting. The way that was handled in Predators was terrible. In AvP they did a decent job at making the predator movements sort of unique.

Most people irrationally bash AvP because it wasn't a positive for the franchise. It ignored/ruined a lot of what made the two franchises special. That doesn't mean it's a bad movie though. The movie itself was fairly well-made and I guarantee you that if the Alien and Predator franchises started with AvP, people would love the movie.

What do you mean? If you're saying the AvP trio was taken from the comics, they weren't. And the original AvP comic/book is practically perfect. It's exactly how an AvP story should be.

This. I could look at this Scar and say damn, and then rational with myself due to my lack of funds, but if they came out with a Berserker with an accurate head, dreads, mask and a paintjob similar to Classic's, I'd save up for that if I had to starve to do so.

Although Scar and Wolf were similar in how they were acted; there was enough unique behaviour in the portrayal of both to give them both their own personality.

If they make another Predator film I really do hope Ian Whyte gets the job.

The movie itself was fairly well-made and I guarantee you that if the Alien and Predator franchises started with AvP, people would love the movie.

Yeah, again, regardless of plot or characters, the film itslef looks great and has some very nice sets and designs etc.

It has an element of fun to it too (like Predator did) but (which Predators lacked). Example: Waiting for the scene where Scar spears the Queen:

No not really. Outside of the Alexa/Scar team up and the blood mark, they really didn't share anything with the comic predators.

AvP comic - Clan of a dozen predators lead by Dachande seed a portion of the desert planet Ryushi for a hunt, not realizing that humans have colonized a remote area of the planet. One of the younger predators betrays Dachande leaving him to die and taking over the clan...Dachande teams up with one of the humans to defeat the young predator and fight off the alien infestation that has been multiplying the entire time...etc

As much as I LOVED and still LOVE the first AVP, AVP:R did suck a big floppy donkey ****....HOWEVER....Wolf was an AMAZING pred! If not for WOLF I wouldn't admit the movie exists...lol...I have to say I still love the Wolf vs any of the aliens and the Predalien...good battles...everything else in that movie sucked....except for the dad and son getting it from some face huggers. LOL Hopefully hot toys does the Wolf 2.0 with ALL of his various weaponry

Well...I decided to rent AVP:Requiem and at one point I realized I was watching my television screen while My mind was off in some other World.
This movie sucks I mean what the hell happened? I did enjoy the intro when Wolf Predator is arming up on the ship and grabs his whip...not to mention the amazing head shots with the camera right on his torn up face.
Oh yes...I do hope Hot Toys remakes the Wolf Predator as well.
Again I cannot sit through this movie I keep blanking off into space.
I did notice when I started to come out of being half asleep there appeared to be a cool looking fight scene against the Predator and Alien...quickly followed by boring blah whatever.
I've tried twice I may try watching it a 3rd time around sometime this evening. Yes all the reviews are confirmed...this movie sucks.

Anyway...Hot Toys remaking the Scar Pred...this could be a good sign that they may do a new Wolf as well.

Its hard believe the last 2 movie bombed so bad "avpr and predators "when you already have a good story and characters .AVP i loved but avpr or 2 was just too dark as in no light and couldnt see anything half the time. It was mainly a clean up of thier pet aliens job no hunt. They needed more predator exterminator's and light in filming. Predators i was realy pumped for but hated the stupid twist with Topher Grace OR AKA Eric foreman wish he would've died right away .But no he had to ruin another film i would have loved! You suck Topher! Thank's for ruining venom too! Anyway hope some director can resurect the preds in a correct way sometime ,Because avp or predators is just money in the bank if do it friggin right.

Personally i love both the AVP films as much as any of the others.

I liked both films and own them both on DVD. However, I will say there was room for much improvement, but better than noghting I suppose. It's extremely hard to live up to the original Predator movie

I thought avp r was awesome for how the wolf predator was done, he is my favorite pred ever created, i always liked the idea of preds hunting aliens and he is clearly a hardened veteran when it comes to that, i liked both avp movies just for the chance to get to see two of my favorite movie monsters go up against each other, its a real shame that we will probably never get to see another avp movie, the potential is there for some great stories and cool clan designs, i would sit thru another bad acted avp movie to get to see some more avp action scenes any day.

This fig was an instant preorder for me, this and the wolf are the two hot toys figs i always wanted, but absolutely hated the original designs. They got it right with this one, its not perfect but they never are. It is exactly what i was hoping for from them tho!!!!

i thought avpr was pretty good too, well, the wolf/alien scenes anyway. the only thing that annoyed the hell out of me was that the movie was too damn dark and sometimes couldnt see what was going on, like the sewer scenes for example. that aside wolf is one of the better predators in my book, he's just cool.

The sideshow wolf mask is what got me into collecting in the firest place, and i almost got the hot toys wolf several times, but it just never looked right. I am so glad i held out after seeing this scar pred i know hot toys will do the wolf justice this time. I got the sideshow avp diorama statue with the wolf fighting the three aliens which i absolutely love, but i always wanted a good 1/6 representation of him and it looks like i will be getting my wish soon!
