I unpacked him last night and just tried some initial poses. Not sure if he needs to be broken in or not because his suit is super restrictive. I mean Avengers Cap restrictive. I'll spend more time with it tonight but so far I'm honestly disappointed. Suit looks great as does the head sculpt but the undersuit and uniform just don't work well together. Golden Age has this figure beat in every area but head sculpt, IMO. I mean, poseability is night and day between the two.

Like I said, these are just initial impressions. Hopefully after tonight I can revise my mini review in a more positive light. To be continued.

Edit: to those asking he can do the pose a couple post back, I wasn't able to raise his arm above his shoulders so that pose may not be possible. You also can't put his arms against his sides. They want to flair out even more so than Winter Soldier's regular arm.

Is the fabric in the suit that "thick," more so than other Cap suits?

Damb that sucks, was hoping for positive feedback...now I'm considering not gettin WS and BW...no point if I can't get the Movie crew together.. :(

I wouldn't say it's thick. There's the shirt part which is stretchy material that the sleeves are attached to and then there's the vest that goes over that, which is made up of all the different "armor" panels. It's layered and feels like the "vest" has a plastic lining or something. It's really stiff which is why you don't get that v-shape on his torso. I really don't want to take off the suit just yet to find out but I'm sure some of the lining could be stripped out to help give Cap a little more shape.

The Rogers figure is outstanding, though. Great articulation and tailoring, from the boots to the jacket. The T-shirt and belt are even really nice. It's the same body underneath so Stealth Cap should have great articulation but that suit is just so restrictive. The best comparison I can give is to say it's just like Avengers Cap, but even less posable. I'm hoping I can work the suit a little bit to loosen things up because I want to be able to pose him like some of the promo shots. I was planning on having him placing the shield on his back but I don't think he can pull that off. And if he can, I don't know if I want to leave the suit in a stressed position for too long. Right now I have him shield out like he's ready to jump off the Quinjet, a la the posters.

As puffy as some people think Golden Age is, you can still properly pose him. Stealth Cap is put together the same way which is why I don't understand why he is so much less posable. It must be the lack of stretch in the material. Only thing I can think of. He looks amazing so I'm not giving up on him just yet.

How does he look, proportionally? Does he look as skinny in the chest, shoulders and arms as he does in many of the blogger pics? He does look a bit more stout in Clipper's unboxing vid, however, so I don't know anymore.

Can you post a pic with both of these heads on GA Cap? Please and thanks!

I'll post some pics tonight after work. I have another Rogers head coming so that one is going to Golden Age. Might get another helmeted head too if it looks good on him. Then I can put the derpy head back in the box forever.

I think the proportions are fine. It's just the suit that prevents seeing any definition. He does look flat chested but the pecs are there. I'm confident that the suit can be stripped out a bit to give Cap his shapely figure back. :)

I think the arms are fine, but again the suit is really tight. It's the same body used on Golden Age so the right framework is there. It's just covered up with an ill-fitting suit.

Nice, looking forward to it. I too want to know how different the colors are, the design we already know is different. Where did you get the extra Rogers head? I'm hoping to grab one for a good deal and not have to resort to the ridiculous $135+ eBay prices.

The helmet colors are different but the Golden Age helmet isn't a perfect match to the suit either. I think the Stealth helmet will be just fine.

As far the head sculpt, I unfortunately paid ebay prices but got a decent deal.

It's honestly just nitpicking, no reason why you shouldn't get him. All other caps had the same "problem" looking flat in the chest area.

Even GA cap who some say is huge has a flat chest

It's personal preference man, you shouldn't let, IMO, something small turn you off to an entire line if you really want to get it.

Thanks for all of the info, Hippie. Full articulation would be great, but is not essential to me because my Cap will stay in the box and will one day be relegated to a museum pose in a Detolf. :lol

It's funny, I always thought Avengers Cap had pretty good poseability. But then, I was comparing him to the First Avenger Cap which really sucks in that department.

Yeah ksteezy, I'm glad I got him and the rest of the line. It's just a couple nits that stand out, not something that should prevent you from picking these up.

No problem man. I keep most, if not all of my figures in pretty basic poses myself. I don't like putting stress on the outfits, even if they can take it. I just like knowing I can pose my figures if I choose to do so.
