Poor Stealth Cap.

I'm glad AOU cap came out great, but unless you're of the mind that you only need one of each character Stealth Cap is still a kick ass figure and well worth having on the shelf.

If he had a bit more time in the stealth suit I'd consider picking up another and weathering him up.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Stealth suit. It's just that the posability is horrible. I'm usually a one figure per character person, so this guy will be out. AoU's articulation is superior. If I could find a Golden Age figure at a decent price, that would be my only Cap figure.

The only issue I have is that he was only in the stealth suit for about 10 to 20 minutes in the film. With that limited amount of time on screen you'd think HT would've paid attention to the articulation more.

I think he pretty much wears the AOU suit the entire film like he did in the Avengers movie.

This. For all the faults that I could pick at with the Stealth Suit, and it is not a perfect figure, it is still my favourite looking Cap.

Apart from the terrible physique, the sculpt is great and the tailoring on the uniform is impressive... But if I had AOU Cap on the shelf I could never be satisfied with this Cap.

I only want one Cap for my team so I'm still hoping I can offload this one. I think I'm gonna resort to ebay today.

Even in light of it's problems, I am keeping my Stealth Cap (I didn't buy the two pack).

With AoU Cap being pretty close to perfect for most people, I'm counting down the days until the 2-pack is heavily discounted at Sideshow. Once/if it drops down to the single Cap figure price, I may have to break my one figure per character rule. Even if the tailoring and articulation stink. It was a pretty awesome suit in the movie, and part of me wants to have something to represent that.

I know, though some of the mods got pretty serious with the body swaps and sculpted muscles (completely unnecessary for my purposes). Removing the padded suit is a must; beyond that, I'd just play it by ear depending on the poses I want to pull off.

weird question I'm sure. but, does anyone who owns the figure think, that you could pull the star and stripes out of the jacket without harming it? I mean how are they attached? glued? I'm thinking about a custom and this would help. thanx.

Tricky one this. Probably fabric glue. You could stick the suit in an oven at 100° for twenty minutes or so. It would denature the glue(If it's glue they used), and they would probably come off. There could be residue, but i am sure it could be removed.

The AOU suit is basically the stealth version with some alterations. That's why a number of people have put off this set.

Quite a lot of alterations. It's only similar. Almost every panel is different.

I don't think the Steve Rogers figure holds as much weight anymore. The Rogers head sculpt is packed with AoU Cap, as is the extra helmet. The outfit is well-tailored, but it's not the one I think most people wanted (the highway fight scene). And the extra shield has been panned from the beginning for not being from any scene from the movie (unless it was meant to be from the freighter, in which case it needs to be blue rather than grey). Basically, unless you want a civilian Steve, you can get basically everything you need with AoU Cap.

That said, other than the AoU magnets, I find this set more appealing than AoU Cap. If I didn't already have a Cap figure, I'd have picked this up when it came out.
