Because HT use unstable rubbers and plastics in their products. Not only do they crack and bend but also chemically react with each other on touch and break down. They use what looks good not what they should use, or at least research the longevity of a substance. There's no excuse for it. I would imagine some of these materials fall into the banned plastics category from the East. (phthalates).

But.. Why is this conversation happening in this HT Star Wars thread?
Has there been a problem with rubber on HT SW toys?

Well someone get this back on track.

A "perfect" (aka, never have to upgrade again) Farmboy Luke would probably be my grail. Definitely not complex or detailed, but man what is more 1977 or Star Wars. Luke was relate-able to this 8yr old (at the time) with the chores/not being able to do what he wants, being a dreamer, going on an unbelievable/spontaneous adventure, making new friends, ending up a hero. His character is just bigger than life to me. To be honest, I'm not disappointed with any incarnation of this character. From the 3 3/4 vintage, to he-man POTF2, all the 12", just part of the evolution. I'm sooo looking forward to this. Even if it's accessories light, the SS Ex stuff will have it covered.

Have any of the Phicen torn apart at the elbow? I actually want one of the stainless skeleton versions, but only for the skeleton.

I remember seeing the odd photo here & there.. can't remember what actual figures they were.

I've never seen HT make decisions based on anniversaries or some sort of symbolic meaning... but there's always a first time.


Unless #300 is the official HT 1/6th Howard Chan doll.

Now you can have your favorite doll creator in doll-form... and you can voodoo him into making your favorite doll or completing a line.
