I hope he lights it up in the movie. This figure is phenomenal.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Suicide Squad - Deadshot Collectible Figure

figure is really cool but why they left others behind? Or they will make them later?

I hope they announce them after the movie opens and/if it does good. Would love Cap Boomerang and Enchantress.

This is very impressive. I'm just so blown away.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Suicide Squad - Deadshot Collectible Figure

The more I see, the more I like it. Never been a big DC fan. Read comics for 30+ years, but mostly Marvel. Can't remember ever haven read something with Deadshot, I probably have but the story haven't been that memorable. But Will Smith. Hell yeah!

RAD! I think I'd display him with the mask. As long as I don't hate the movie he is likely a preorder

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Suicide Squad - Deadshot Collectible Figure

They have gotten so good at these head sculpts. It's crazy. I thought it would be another ten years before we got figures like we are getting now, from blitz way and threezero and King arts and hot toys..impressive stuff

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Suicide Squad - Deadshot Collectible Figure

I have only been collecting since the first Diecast (Warmachine and Iron Patriot, I think). The first figure I got was Reeves Superman. I just couldn't believe it when I opened the box and saw the face. The only other "human" I have bought since is Marty McFly, and I was unimpressed by his HS. Haven seen what they can do, I was a bit disappointed.
Then all these companies starts making 1/6. Heavy Armored Cop has a pretty good likeness, Blitzway does Al Pacino (still kicking myself for not getting that) and I think Hot Toys realize that the game has changed. I think Superman from BVS was ok, WW was woeful, than all the Marvel rehash which was ok, the best being Cap America AoU, but now these... Blitzway doing Fight Club and knocking it the **** out of the park. Hot Toys barking back with Suicide, and not just doing one, but THREE brilliant HS - Harley, Joker and Deadshot. Blitzway doing Ghostbusters with a perfect Hudson, the other three are close, damn close. QMX with Star Trex and Star Ace with their Harry Potter (hits and misses).
But yeah, the bar has been raised, Hot Toys did most of the heavy lifting, with Blitzway pumping iron on the sideline and now eager for a place in the sun.
For us collecters, it's good times.
I know everybody is complaining about price. All the time. And yeah, it sucks that a figure is 220-250 these days compared to the good old 150 days. But I would rather have this quality over the 150 quality. I'm guessing the engineering on the Iron Man suits are very complicated (Oh boy I am loving my Mark 42) and the detailed HS takes longer to make, for the sculptor. And cause of the fierce competition, I'm guessing the good sculptors demand more money (I hope they do). I don't really buy all that crap about production costs. Every company in the world use that as an excuse to raise the prices. And the raise in cost is nowhere near the raise in price.
But the fact is, we are getting better sculpts. For the completist, these are hard times and I feel for you, for someone like me, who pick and choose, these are great times.
I'm excited for the near future of 1/6

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Suicide Squad - Deadshot Collectible Figure

I agree with everything except price.
I bought my first HT about 10 years ago and the only change I've seen is less in the box, less of a box and a big price hike.
Nothing they've put out justifies this to such a degree.
Pull on a rope too much and you may end up breaking it.

Maybe the licenses is more expensive now. But also, when humans find out the can make money, they do whatever it takes to make more. Hot Toys was a small company 10 years ago. Now, it's pretty big. Biggest in 1/6. And Howard likes the Ferraris. I'm sure you're right - they are overpriced, but I also think licences are more expensive now, look at Lego - If a "normal" Lego box is 10 bucks, then a Star Wars Lego box is 15. A have a friend who works at Lego. He says the extra five bucks gores directly to Lucas... well, Disney now. I'm sure it's the same here. The license is crazy expensive + the sculptors wants more money, better sculpt = more time sculpting. Painters more money. Howard wants more money. So - it's less in the box and higher price. I do wish Hot Toys would use some of that money to make better True Types. I'm fairly certain they can be a lot better, but right now, Hot Toys is like Depp in Blow. They make so much money, the problem is where to stash it :)
Again, back to Suicide, damn fine figures from Hot Toys. These are their best in a long time. Here's hoping that Howard will use some of the dollars on developing better bodies. We need that
