1/6 Hot Toys Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales License

I just binged on POTC. The wait for this DX will be the more painful now.
Does anyone know if HT will be making more characters?

I'm hyped for the movie and would probably start construction on a 1:6th Black Pearl had I any carpentry skills and infinite space.

Maybe you're not being serious, but the franchise itself has grossed 3.7 billion dollars. Last I heard the budget for this film was more than Avatar, which is insane.

The last one alone made over a billion dollars...definitely a "billion dollar franchise..."

I think it may be a mutually beneficial relationship though...Depp has done some good work in the past but I am hard pressed to think of the last time he has been in a commercially or even critically successful movie for that matter that did not have all of the the words "Pirates of the Caribbean" in the title...

I was speaking without much fact. I don't recall much hype over the box office of Dead Man's Chest nor Stranger Tides, I knew they were successful but hadn't heard the numbers where with Marvel and Star Wars lately, it's like a countdown with each movie waiting for the inevitable reaching of the billion dollar mark. I also haven't heard much about budget for Pirates 5. I based my thought on what I've seen which is seemingly giving any MCU film whatever they want and same for Star Wars, but Pirates has seemed more like a successful, Disney original property they keep going, but not to the point I think they'd try to have a new movie every year like Star Wars or Marvel.

Well... Maybe he was actually playing Young Sparrow but I still have the impression the face is Johnny with CG.The actor could still be a body double.

If you saw Michael Bolton's Jack Sparrow MV, you will know that it is the power of make up to make someone look like Jack Sparrow

anywho, just cameback from watching the movie, somehow Henry, the new character, reminds me alot of this dude

Agreed Cammo. After seeing the movie it just made me want him even more. He absolutely deserves a figure. Come on Hot Toys, we're waiting for him.

And goodness, the after credits scene. You know what that means.

+ it would seem like a fairly easy job to make one. they had worse characters to get right costume or headsculpt-wise.

The only additional figure I think has any hope of being made is Salazar. I think HT would want to show off their skills with him. They did the same with Davy Jones. Barbossa would come in a distant third unfortunately. I just hope Jack does well enough to convince them to make Salazar and more figures. Seems he is doing well though, so that's good.
