There's a deleted scene of Rocky at the house and there's a picture of him fighting Apollo that he walks by and it's blurred. I always wondered when I first saw the movie why no Apollo pictures in the restaurant and why clips of Rocky fighting the no names from part 3 in the HBO montage, but later I learned of Weathers.

Sad really,would love some flashbacks from the relationship between the 2...What i heard is that Carl Weathers wanted too much money to have his face shown in the movie...ive also heard rumours about him asking money from people who are asking for autographs,but thats just rumours.

The closest Apollo we got in Rocky 6 was the painting in Rocky`s restaurant showing Apollo and Rocky sparring.

I've never understood that.. John Hurt is the same hence the Freddie Mercury head sculpt for Kane/Alien. You would think actors would be flattered to have a toy with their likeness (not to mention the $$$$ they make from it) especially someone like Sonny Landham since his bum ass ain't worked in years. smh.

Those guys are vain enough to think that people want to stare at their mugs in movies all the time, so I would agree with your assessment. But then, when people become famous and rich, they tend to develop really strange eccentricities. . .who knows? It probably all comes down to their demanding money that companies like Hot Toys don't want to pay.

likeness rights aren't really the actor's call, are they? i think that goes through their agencies/lawyers.

Maybe it has to do with things we're not even thinking about. Like divorce settlement proceeds or something odd. Maybe Sonny or Hurt don't want any more income from a "job" that applies to alimony.
