Thanks guys. I couldn't let this character go without a paint job to bring the likeness out of the figure. I like Billy a lot, but almost passed on the figure. Now I'm glad I didn't. Very happy to have this piece in my collection.

Looks perfect to me. And I know you're probably swamped with people's customs, but as soon as you get a chance, I'm sending you mine to do

I do have several projects on the table, but this is a one night paint job, and I can turn it around ASAP. I painted my friend DarthJuan's Billy head at the same time even. They are almost identical except that I didn't straighted the eyes on his.

That looks brilliant Silent Surfer. Very professional job, some repaints can be a bit rough looking but yours looks like the figure could have come right out of the box like that.

The right out of the box look was half intentional and half accident. I wanted to keep the skintone as close to the body as possible so the head didn't look out of place next to the arms. Other than that, the paint job just kinda came out smooth, and the dull coat gave it a sheen I didn't think it would. That would have bugged me actually except that Billy was often shiny with sweat in the movie, so it's okay. If the face doesn't look 100% lifelike, but the arms never will anyway. As long as he looks good next to Dutch I'm stoked.

Just got all 3 Hot Toys "PREDATOR" figures. I must say... they are ALL awesome.

I hope HOT TOYS give us BD versions of Pred and Dutch, as well as the rest of the team.

I'd say put the accessories asside and just play around with the body for a while. Get used to its limitations. You'll find the upper arm has the ability to turn inwards and outwards slightly. Warm the hands with a hairdryer if they seem stiff so you can open the hans up OK then just futz till you get a pose you like. Main thing is 'never' force anything and don't stress the wrist pegs.
Other than that, you'll get there eventually.

Yeah i notice that problem with billy when i tried to pose him and your worried his arm is gonna snap or something. Funnily enough after you do get him to pose properly with the rifle it stays in place easily. The thing is to bend both arms, then get his left arm to about mid chest height and the right arm to about his shoulder height, slowly, without too much force and he can hold it. Also yeah as above hairdryer always does the trick in loosening plastic up.

Is the neck thing really THAT bad as to deduct points to the fig?

DO NOT USE A HAIRDRYER ON THIS FIGURE

That is not plastic or vinyl skin. Heating it will not make it softer. You will damage that rubber, or at least shorten its lifespan. No dryer. Just use slow, steady force. Push a little and let it go. Repeat as needed. Yes, it's stiff.

The cigar turned up just in the nick of time!!!!! Now I don't have to spend $10 on ebay for a teeny weenie cigar :chew
