Appreciate the Xfiles reference!

What I wouldn’t give for a high quality Mulder and Scully. Definitely one of my most wanted if not least likely pair of figures.

Even if Howard try, problem is how/where he can find someone who can sculpt Predator accurately?
I doubt any Chinese/Korean could do it, HS likeness is one thing, even master sculptor like Takeya has his heavily stylized sculpt.

Yeah hopefully they outsourced for this, but I doubt it. There are obviously sculptors out there that CAN sculpt the Jungle Hunter. Hopefully they locked one in for this.

Their Feral is quite accurate. The more I look at that one, the more convinced I am that the Jungle Hunter prototype we've seen so far is just a placeholder. No way they pull out all the stops on a new sculpt for Feral, then reissue a 13 year-old figure for the one that started it all.

But if they use an old sculpt, they should at least take Elder and not Classic.

They need to hire whoever sculpted the Prime 1 studio statues for the Jungle Hunter. That with a Hot Toys paint job

Feral had to be built from scratch, has no parts they could pull out of storage or repurpose unlike the JH so they had to pull out all the stops.

Hot toys absolutely should go all out with an all new JH but they don’t “need” to because even if it’s just a repaint of the classic suckers like me will get it anyway just to have an “official” JH on display.

However after Inart showed up feels like hot toys aren’t reusing as many old sculpts as they used to so maybe there is a little hope.

That's what I'm kinda hoping for. Or at the very least they have used it as a reference, jump off point.

I haven't ordered the feral just because I personally am not a fan of the design, I might be one of few that prefer the bulky armored version as in AVP-AVPR, buuuuut the new body of the feral is nice especially with more accurate height. The only thing I dont like about that body is a clear cut torso for movement and the ankles with the wrappings feel lazy to me with the again clear cut for articulation. Hot toys produces top notch figures in other IP's; Jack Sparrow, new deadpool, predators deserve the same treatment.

Good point - makes me wonder if their predator property budget doesn't go "the money we spent developing an exceptional feral can be recouped by not spending a penny on developing new jh parts. Not a single penny, guys!"

The only reason I didn’t PO the Feral Predator was because I didn’t think the design was as memorable even though he did look sick

A modern-day Hot Toys Predator figure should use the body material from their Venom and Carnage figures that allows for a seamless torso with ab crunch. And reads more like “skin” than hard plastic ever would.

I’m pretty sure that the first Predator Hot Toys made was the Jungle Hunter. At the time though, it was never named the jungle Hunter. It was only called the Predator. The origin of the name Jungle Hunter started from the game Predator Concrete Jungle as the skin for the original Predator was called Jungle Hunter. The original release Hot Toys made is definitely out dated now but the sculpt was actually really good
