Just received mine. Everything's perfect, but I have one potentially catastrophic concern: My endo's die cast parts look like they're already rusting. Does anyone else have this problem? There are lines of rust outlining the indented panels on the forward thighs. I'm hoping this is intentional, but it doesn't look like it. I'm worried it will end up like Masterpiece Cosmic Space Rust Megatron.

Love what I've seen so far from collectors photos/videos. Not 100% keen on the base or the switch access at the back of the head, but otherwise it's awesome.

Without trying to sound like a broken record, I just wish Enterbay would take 5 minutes away from rubbing one out to their NBA line to give us an endo update. They need to work on some PR and update their other licenses.

Can you post a closeup pic of this? I'm thinking its probably the same kind of thing mine has.

Rust!!!! :horror

This kind of die cast probably wont rust because it probably doesn't contain iron. But it can corrode. If its orange/brown I would guess its intentional.

Guessing.

Moisture. Having said that, I can't see it being rust, its a brand new figure. To be rusting already is ridiculous. Its probably just the brown paint that we were seeing earlier that a-dev talked about.

Because there is no way to know what there die cast metal consists of, no one will be able to exactly how it will age. I am guessing that it is made of zinc, lead, and tin but who knows. All of which are cheap metals which means lower cost. All have lower melting points which means easier to cast. PVC is a thermo plastic that is injected into steel molds so the use of a low melt metal means the process can be similar.

From Wiki
The white metals are any of several light-colored alloys used as a base for plated silverware, ornaments or novelties, as well as any of several lead-based or tin-based alloys used for things like bearings, jewellery, miniature figures, fusible plugs, some medals and metal type.
Some of the metals that make up a white metal alloy are antimony, tin, lead, cadmium, bismuth, and zinc. Not all of these metals are found in all white metal alloys but are mixed to achieve a desired goal or need. As an example, a base metal for jewelry needs to be castable, polishable, have good flow characteristics, have the ability to cast fine detail without an excessive amount of porosity and cast at between 230 °C and 300 °C (450 °F and 575 °F).

Pretty sure it's paint, same app is on the plastic parts too.

Was it there when you first got it, or is this something that has happened while you've had it?
