3PO looks so dumpy and fat in some of these pics.

Why wouldn't HT just do a classic 3PO body... simply because Daniels has gotten older and a bit heavier for TFA?

Man R2 looks so killer I think I have to order soon just looks to be the best. The chrome shine looks incredible.

R2 and 3PO looked great. Since it appears that 3PO will be coming with his gold arm as well that means he can also double as a RO version since I assume it was just Daniels in the same suit he wore in TFA (in RO they only show him from the knees up, probably to hide the lack of a silver bottom leg.)

That dome really is pleasing to look at.

R2 and 3PO looked great. It can also double as a TLJ Threepio. At the end of TFA he's got his gold arm back. And I agree with everyone R2 is looking great. So is C-3PO as well. Need his PO to go up.

Looking forward to buying this! I've been looking for a "stand alone" Artoo for my oh-so-lonely HT Bespin Luke to recreate the Bespin Hallway sequence. This guy will also look good on Dagobah with my upcoming Yoda and Snowpeeder Pilot Luke.

I think the HT R2 is the one to get (at this time) so will eventually pick it up.

Height looks to be the tallest of the group and that metal dome won me over immediately.

I've already got two of the SS R2's but they will definitely be reassigned to a different display (HT R2 to join 3PO).

The one thing that bugs me about the TFA R2 is the white / blue logic panel lights on his dome.

These were an array of red / yellow / green lights in the OT.

Can never have too many R2s. He goes with nearly every SW display.

Not a lot of excitement about this guy! I'm debating whether or not to spend my $50 off coupon on him. I'm pretty sure I will pick him up, and an R2 is an absolute essential for my display. But we may get 4 or 5 more R2s from HT when all is said and done, and they typically improve on things with subsequent releases. But guys like Death Star Gunner and Snow Trooper--much less essential to a display, but very cool nonetheless--are probably done after one release. . .

I have a spot beside my DX Bespin Luke that I have been debating between TFA R2 and Yoda. Who will have the greater impact? I have not make the Yoda purchase as my excitement of Yoda has decreased of late. So we will see if R2 will fit the bill…….

Although I love some of Yoda's ESB scenes and he's a lynchpin for the saga, I'm more excited about the HT R2 -- the dome looks better than the Tama's. Personal taste will factor heavily but that R2 will also be more versatile.
