Yep, here you go...
It's not much and can probably be resolved with a tiny blob of blutak but still a bit annoying. The SS version has very loose doors but at least they sit flush!

There is no way HT would have paid for all that 3PO sculpting/tooling and then never release it. Other unreleased figs like Death Star Trooper have new cut/sew and helmet, but they reuse body, boots and blaster (and possibly gloves) so aren't massively expensive whereas 3PO is all-new sculpting and everything unique. Massive cost and effort. And it's not like 3PO is a risky character that won't sell.

They will release it at some point, though it's frustrating that it's already been 3 1/2 years now, and even when they finally put it up for PO, it'll be nearly another year before shipping - meaning something like 5 years from initial announcement to in-hand. It's doubly frustrating that they even previewed an AOTC 3PO which also has not seen light of day in a year and half.

The only other issue with the HT 3PO that people should keep in mind is he's a TFA version, so is kinda "fat" looking vs OT, and there are a couple of minor differences in the suit between OT and ST, even if they include a swap-out gold arm vs the red one.

I had a problem with the door?s on their proto/unpainted R2 years ago and they just sent me a new body. But that was their own release so not sure how they would handle this HT. They most likely will just swap the figure out for a new one.

Never returned anything. I?ve gotten parts of things that were damaged. Btw, my luke Deluxe had the hoth leia blue dots on the poncho. I bet I am the only one. They are sending me a new poncho as the dots won?t come out. I will fully inspect r2 tonight. It is an expensive figure to have so lopsided.
But, it is awesome on the shelf and I highly recommend. Looks awesome with the a new hope heroes.

Amazing that the doors issue that dogged the Sideshow version also manifested in the HT figure, though in a different way.

The only door on mine that doesn't quite sit flush is the "recharge cable" door, but it's only maybe half the thickness of the door that stands out, so really just looks like natural variance that R2 may have had in the movies.

Finally got word from AE that this is coming. So now I'll have to look for the wonky screen-accurate feet and the misaligned panels that don't close properly. Can't wait, feels like I'm waiting on a SS product.

I really did not even notice it for a day because it did blend in with the camouflage.

I got notice from Alter Ego today that they tried charging my card but it was declined. It’s very strange as the card I have on file (at least I’m fairly sure it’s the one I used) has no issues whatsoever. Account is current, card isn’t expired, and I’m nowhere near my limit. I checked my other cards too and they’re all good.

All I can think of is that the card company saw Alter Ego as a red flag for some reason. Thing is I purchased a figure from them once before so I’m not sure why it would be seen as an issue now. Only other thing is if maybe I typed my number or something in wrong, but I don’t think that’s the case as I never got a decline notice when I placed the order (they run your card for like $1 upon ordering). I’m waiting to hear back from Alter Ego’s customer service for more details.
