I grew tired of Marvel for the same reason and stopped getting them altogether.

By the time you get one, the next version is up for preorder and better. Just not fun.

I felt the same way about r2. I could have waited. I got a coupon on my bespin leia box and saw dx luke and yoda sell out, so I figured might as well save $20 now. Plus, if it sold out and ht announced c3po (hahahahahaha, like any good ot announcement is coming soon) I would feel like an *****. But I do feel like an ***** anyway for buying the same figure over and over.

Admit it -- you're tired of Star Wars.

I would upgrade only the head sculpt if I can find a great looking faux-haired Ledger head for cheap. (impossible, so I'm actually fine with the current molded haired sculpt.)

I love the OT Star Wars. That's been the problem - Having to get the latest/greatest release of the same figures. Newer characters are fine, though.

Well, just so I know I'm not being gaslighted... and yes, I know it's picky (no more picky than the foot thing though) but I noticed it because it's part of his face. It's the "eye" that turns red periodically in the movie. Arrow pointing to it here...

Okay I remember you pointing this out before and I see it, and it's probably the worst offender on R2's face but you could probably have 4 or 5 other arrows. All the spacing on the other rectangles seem a bit off too. You've ruined R2 for me and I haven't even gotten it yet! Damn you, AE!

Is the Tama better? I sometimes think about getting that as it's decently priced but they somehow totally dropped the ball on that figure.

The inaccurate camera eye (that doesn't move) bugs me a lot more than the obviously smaller eye.

But then I also want the half blue/half red eye like in ANH.

Anyone that owns both notice the deluxe is slightly skinner than the TFA version from dome to body. It’s subtle. Which is more accurate?

Deluxe is more accurate to the OT, TFA is more accurate to TFA. Is that what you wanted to hear?

Has it been shipping from Sideshow yet? I got a coupon that expires in a week that I might want to burn on this but need to wait for it to go to 'in stock' status.

Also, if you order two in-stock items from SSC in the same order, will the shipping be combined? As it is now, the cart is only telling me "estimate" for the shipping when I do that.

Yes, shipping will be combined and double-boxed if both figs are listed in stock. Expect $30-35 shipping for a couple normal-sized figures.

Is anyone else having trouble opening the panel where the lamp with cable is supposed to attach? Mine seems to be stuck as the magnet won?t budge it.

Yes. The small panel door on the front is a pain. The hinges are just a bit too tight for the magnet to work easily. I have to open it using a fingernail.

Optical illusion. The TFA dome fits perfect on the Deluxe body...

My HT Deluxe arrived yesterday, I didn't get a chance to open it until today. I don't think anyone here has mentioned this issue, but both of the longer doors on the body of mine don't want to to close properly, has anyone here had this issue?

I did, but only one of the doors was messed up. I sent it back and have been waiting about a month for a replacement.
