I'll fiddle with the feet and see if I can work with it. Hate the thought of returning anything.

What IS really neat are the 'hydraulics' that are connected on the back of the leg from the calf to the heel of the foot. Of all the details on this figure, I thought THAT one was an "engineering marvel"! Little metal springs and rotating widgets! Kinda cool!! :lol Or maybe I'm just easily impressed for some reason... :D

The thigh holster does have a "cool" factor to it. While I wouldn't call it an engineering marvel, what I WOULD say is that the parts move together in "engineering harmony". (Just be GENTLE!) :lol

There is nothing and has never been anything like the detail and working components of this HT Robocop IMHO.

So I take you have yours too? What's your detailed take on it?

Sorry for the persistence, but this is something I'm very anxiously awaiting (and hoping it doesn't disappoint).

Same here... and I don't have mine in hand but I'm basing my comments on

1)Asian board feedback, pics
2)The word of people like Brandt
3)Collectors who have received theirs
4)My faith in HT design team...

And comments like the ones today and pics above!

Thanks Bonehead, he looks amazing!

I've also been reading feedback from collectors on the forums over at www.robocoparchive.com. Strangely, they indicate no problems with free-standing poses, and one post even states that the holster slides out when you pull the front panel because the two are interconnected.

So either they're mistaken or some defective ones have slipped out from Sideshow.

As for articulation, I'm not expecting anything on the level of SSC's Star Wars figures, but that's because the original suit was pretty restrictive as well. I'd rather have a less-articulated figure as long as it's truer to the range of motion allowed by the "real" suit.

Totally, Robo was NEVER very articulated in the Movie either!

I have mine and I'd say some of the articulation is better than on any other 1/6 figure and he's got way more range of movement than Weller ever did in the real suit. I don't know any other figure that can offset it's head by a couple of inches. However I think the neck is too skinny even though it allows for some wild head poses.

Mine has absolutely no problem standing free, better than most 1/6 I'd say. I don't see any interconnection between the 2 parts of the thigh holster though - both have to opened seperately as far as I can tell.

I'm very happy with with him and I'm thankful I never invested in the old Medicom one.

Now bring on Ed!

Hey I know you... we killed you!

The figure looks very nice - The ultimate Robocop figure -a must buy I would say - but first I have some other bills to pay.

And now I am going to take a refreshing dive in nuclear acid ;-)

Sounds very cool, Dave!! Glad to hear it can stand on its own. Is it a matter of finding a "sweet spot" or is it very sturdy in a variety of poses?

As for the holster, its not the two panels that are supposedly connected. It's the front panel and the actual holster. From what the post said, you pull the front panel, and it pulls the gun holster itself out as well.

So with that cleared up, is it true? Or do you have to pull open both panels and then pull out the holster as well?

That's great news David, your opinion means a lot to me!

The holster is connected to the side panel, so when you pull out the side panel the holster comes too.

He holds a lot of different poses well, it's not really a matter of finding a sweet spot. His feet are huge!

anyone waiting to get Robo 3 w/ the gun arm? it looks to be the exact same fig but w/ that addition. tho i don't care much for having the Robo "3" on the box lol

Looks like the Robo 3 is going to be limited to 200 units, so get your Robo 1 before it's gone.

what are u saying robo 1 is limited to 200 also? and how do u guys find out the ES on HT toys?

There's no way Robocop 1 is limited to 200 pieces. Sideshow probably would've only been allotted 25-50 pieces if any at all if that was the case. It's believeable that Robocop 3 is 200 pieces because I believe Hot Toys is making that as a Sideshow Exclusive.

My error guys. I was reading through the information on the link Sith Lord posted , post No:25. It was the battle damaged ED-209 that is limited to 200 units. Still, how do you find out their edition sizes? I'd like to get the Robo 3, but the distributor downunder isn't getting them in. Whether it is because it is limited severley, like the Bat Dam ED-209, or not, is anyones guess at the moment.

My previous post was just saying there may not be any Robo 3's around to buy, so get your Robo one while you can. Hot Toys retail prices seem to rise as the weeks progress.

Got a quick question I'm hoping someone can help me out with.

I finally opened my HT Robocop. But when I took the head out the gloss varnish on the helmet stuck to the plastic tray the figure was sitting in and it caused the varnish to come off. Now both sides of his head have scratches on it where the varnish should be.

Is this grounds to return it and ask for a replacement? Since Sideshow is only distributiing the figure I don't know the return policy is for this. Will they even allow me to exchange it?

thank for your help.

You have 30 days to return it for a refund or have it replaced, I would contact SSC CS if you are not happy with it.

Edit: Just received my shipping notice from marc @ Alter Ego, Robo will be here on the 23rd!
