Hot Toys Robocop differences?

Haha! I love that! Obsolete! RoboCop v1 is the daddy of all RoboCops! THE RoboCop. No offence, but what's really obsolete is a gun arm, and a flightpack! Sorry! I never had it for RoboCop 3. Very bad movie. My opinion of course.

Snake sucker, good that you're a sucker for originals; v2 (gun arm) and v3 (flightpack) have these extra parts, but v1 is the only representation of that cool movie we call RoboCop! Good choice!

Okay, not to start a fight, but it's the same damn figure. Two of them just come with more stuff, but the physical design and look of it are the same. That's like that ******* at Frank N Sons chargind $100 more for the Predator 2 figure when the Battle Damaged one had everything the first one did plus loads of extra stuff. If you don't want or need the gunarm and jetpack, that's one thing, but saying the Robo 1 is the better one to have is just retarded unless what you are really after is the box and base. Otherwise, it's the same godsdamn thing but with extra stuff. My opinion. Hell, I have all three anyway.

Thing is, I am a 'sucker' for originals, so V1 may be the one for me. Plus I am negotiating a trade of HT Mk III Iron Man for one at the moment.

For a figure released several years ago, it still hold up to the top.

If I had to choose between him and HT Ironman, it would Robocop without a doubt (not the one with the peeking nose though)

I'm with Surfer on this. If someone wants to fork out more cash (beit money or trade) for a dressed down version of what is essentially the same damn figure as the second one, hell, waste the money, get it and regret it. Otherwise, save a bit and pick up the 2nd version which has more, and better display options.

Additionally, trading any Iron Man figure for a RoboCop IMHO, is literally a waste of cash/collectible. Just make a lowball offer when you see one pop up on ebaY. In this economy you'll likely work out a price that's less of a blow to your wallet and you'll still have ol' Shellhead to do a pose off with RC.

Lets try and keep this all civil guys.

I only have RoboCop 1 and ED, got them when they came out so the later two were moot for me. The gun arm was bit ugly, upset the aesthetic of the armour. The flight pack on th third figure was cool but the movie so dire I would never display him with it on. It's not an iconic look either, just looked like he had an air-con unit stapled to his back.

I forgot the paint job was more subtle on the first relase as well and V3 had that damn peeking nose!!!

I just went to my local dealer and noticed that the gunarm version of the V3 IS infact a V1 version. Just with more firearms and the robocop 3 stand. Hell, even the inner box still say MMS010 (which is the code for the first robocop).

It doesnt have the peek through nose, and have a light blue hue on the armor. While the one with the peek through nose (the flight pack) has a purple hue on the armor.

Oh, and they still got a 209 normal version, rocky, rambo, pirates and military HTs if anyone's interested in trades for ironman mark 3.

All of the RoboCops are great. It's not hard to fathom them fetching the same price as HotToys' Predators (though some more than others ). With them becoming harder to find, it's natural that their value would appreciate. Imagine the poor Predator collectors who're having to drop $400+ for jumping into the game late.
