I haven't got him yet and don't know the extent of the staining issue, but it begs the question of why there is a staining issue at all considering this is a $230.00 and + purchase. I am not bitching about the cost of figures or that prices are going up, but at those prices QC issues like this should be an extreme rarity.

Unfortunately QC is not the best with these collectible companies. We don't know for sure if there will be a staining issue with the Emperor, but we've seen various problems with HT figures in the past (rubber, pleather, joints etc.). The thing is they don't care.

Another way is to get 3M scotch tape and stick it to the inside of the hood?

Just take a thin piece of tissue paper or velour, felt, preferably black, trim it and line the hood. no worries.

I don't have any staining and he's been sitting there the whole time with hood on.

They can get very close, you gotta really manipulate his body, don't be afraid of bending his torso a lot. Bend the toes down and it won't look bad at all.

Yeah. It’s a custom Kylo I made from parts. I don’t have Palpatine yet. It’s mainly just to showcase the throne I am scratchbuilding.

I mean that both humorously and seriously though. Rewatching RotJ a month ago or so, you can clearly see there were some scenes with the throne where his feet weren’t quite touching the ground.

Finally finished flex paying mine today. Should have him this coming Thursday. He's a grail piece and is the figure that convinced me to almost completely give up 6 inch figures.

That's funny that you said that. I did completely give up on 1/12 scale figures, sold all of mine, and with the money I got, bought this figure along with two more Hot Toys figures.

That's funny that you said that. I did completely give up on 1/12 scale figures, sold all of mine, and with the money I got, bought this figure along with two more Hot Toys figures.

Every time I consider selling all of my 1/12 figures, I realize how attached to them I am. I have, however, managed to separate about half of them for selling. I just can’t let go of the Marvel Legends comic book characters, Batman Animated characters, Diamond Select figures,... geez... I guess I’ll always have a diverse collection, but the only ones I have room to showcase are my 1/6 figures in my detolfs.

Yeah I really hated to let some of those 1/12 figures go, especially the Mezco ones. Unfortunately I have limited space in my house(since my wife doesn't really support my figure addiction) for my three Detolfs and the two different scale of figures didn't look good being displayed next to each other. Also because of the limited space issue, I went ahead and just bought the regular version of Palpatine.
