Irezumi, nice setup! Were those original figures yours from back in the 1980s?

Thank you Cicada! I do have my original figures from my former years, but they have that played with look major paint rub on the emperors nose and a delightful biro pen ink stain on the guards cloak.:D
The two pictured i bought more recently.

Very cool, irezumi. I think of nearly every single collectible I own nowadays, I also had a toy equivalent between the ages 5-15.

And that throne is pretty much the very first collectible I ever regret not having picked up when I had the chance. :slap I'm quite selective in what I buy, and everything I have was bought at retail upon original release. When I got the emperor, I was sure I wouldn't display the throne and it would just sit in its box forever, so I just got the single release. Now I think it would round out my ROTJ shelf perfectly. So if anybody has one for sale, shoot me a PM. ;)

Thanks agonistes86, keep checking all the secondary market sites i'm sure you'll land lucky eventually. The throne was a must for me to display Palpatine.

I knew I would regret it of I hadn't gotten the throne and 2 royal guards so I made sure that's what I got

the LEDs in my throne just went kaput :gah: I had them on a soap reactor and basically built a lit diorama around it. Very frustrating to just have a dark blob in the center of all this hard work now.

Decided to move my Palps to the top of my shelf where I had an LED strip on top, and I'm absolutely loving how cool he looks in this lighting. Can't believe I didn't try this earlier.

Sorry to hear that. I've had issues with those LED bases as well, any time I try to wire them to an adaptor along with my other figures. I think because they must have some built-in resistor somewhere that makes them require much less voltage than it appears. So that they burn out faster than I expect. Which is why I haven't even attempted it with the Throne yet.

Palps is looking great there DJ.:clap I do still think his hands are a bit oversized but he's a really fun figure.

I think I can finally call the Emperor done!

His hands are a tad oversized IMO, and particularly his left hand with the pinky extended seemed huge to me. I got a spare one that I repositioned, making it appear smaller overall. I also repainted all hands, getting the veins bluer and giving them a white wash to lighten them up.
I previously repainted the face, extended the ankles, and shortened the cane, though that was a while ago.
Will try to do a proper photo session soon. :)
