As much as I don't like the PT, I wouldn't mind a JarJar fig from HT. He's iconic in an inverted kind of way (in-famous I guess) and so symbolizes the PT - and I kind of like some of the design in the PT, JarJar included.

Worst scenario if Emperor's sculpt wont change. I will stick to this pose.. "together we will rule the galaxy as father and son"..hell yeah!..

I still have hope that HT is going to redo the sculpt. They've done it a few times in the past.

As it stands, to me this sculpt isn't good enough to get the fig. The chair looks good, but without a HT Palps to sit in it, it's kinda pointless to get - it's not like Vader or Luke Jedi can sit in it.

If they stick with this sculpt, I guess people will want the parted out robes to upgrade their SSC Palps, and maybe the chair if they don't have the SSC one, but this release will be a major disappointment to me. It really was in the top 3 of what I wanted HT to do.

I'm holding out hope they'll redo the sculpt as well. I think the one already shown at conventions will be the one that is shown in the prototype pictures when it goes up for PO, but I have a suspicion the production sculpt will be reworked and actually look closer to RotJ Emperor.

As it stands now for me, I'm on the fence. I would like an Emperor in my SW collection, but if I don't like the sculpt, I don't like the sculpt. Won't force it if the want just isn't there.

Well this is quite an expensive firgure, I believe at least $250 (with throne chair). Not necessarily forcing yourself to buy something clearly "dont like at the first sight". Who knows if they ever release another version of him with better sculpt in the future (younger version like in Ep3 perhaps)..or maybe they wont .

TBH, this current HT sculpt is not even close to the mark. The SSC heads had problems (the reg head is bored old guy, EX is "who does number two work for?" head) but at least they kind of captured him. This current HT head looks like another unrelated character that reminds you of the Emperor.

I`m still happy with the repaint I did on my palps. I just bought a Hasbro royal guard and the custom royal that was floating around in the for sale thread.

Haha, I know! I shifted to “occasional lurker” a couple of years ago, and I’m mostly out of collecting these days, but it’s nice to come home every now and again to say hi!
My collection is mostly paired down to a few key figures, but I had to come out of hiding to admire these latest releases!
