Agreed! That was one of the best scenes in Star Wars for me. It really just hammered home how much farther ahead he was over everyone else. I'd argue ROTS does him some justice when he takes out the masters and defeats Yoda, but this was just a cool fight. I was rooting for Maul, even as I knew he was toast. While many believe the first two trilogies are the Skywalker story, I really think it's Palpatine's story. Everything was his design, but he couldn't account for Vader's sentiment.

Be careful posting anything PT/Clone Wars in an OT thread. The purists will come for you.

Yeah. It's close, but technically Sidious overpowers him and he flees the fight. I've heard it go either way with some saying Yoda had him beat until he unleashed the lightning and the clones show up. I always saw it as Yoda realizing he couldn't do it alone and chooses exile, forfeiting the fight.

So is this the next one to go up for preorder? Animation Boba is coming on Thursday. I think Palps will be the last of that one video shot where they initially showed him off with Luke, Leia, and Ani Boba.

I wish this pic was clearer but I love the posture of him so far. Good narrow shoulders. I think HT may be making the robe too thick though.

What gets me is the flesh colored face when the ROTJ Palps was more pale faced. We can say this is a "combination" of all Palps but the chair is the reason this can't be.

I still have hope that HT is going to redo the sculpt. They've done it a few times in the past.

As it stands, to me this sculpt isn't good enough to get the fig. The chair looks good, but without a HT Palps to sit in it, it's kinda pointless to get - it's not like Vader or Luke Jedi can sit in it.

If they stick with this sculpt, I guess people will want the parted out robes to upgrade their SSC Palps, and maybe the chair if they don't have the SSC one, but this release will be a major disappointment to me. It really was in the top 3 of what I wanted HT to do.

Now if we had a Jar Jar to put in those robes and sit in that chair.....
