Maybe they're waiting for the first one to sell out. Seems kinda like they did that with the ROTJ Luke tease, wasn't until after the ANH sold out on Sideshow. The Han Stormtrooper wasn't teased until after the Spacetrooper and TFA Han were sold out. Both those figures were supposedly ready for a long time (Han obviously).

If that's really what they're thinking it's weird logic. If they release a "partner" figure it will also drive sales of the already released figure....anyway I'll be waiting until 2018 for my low priority Han-Stormtrooper disguise.

I agree it would probably help in some ways but they must also think, if we can't even sell the last 200 of what to most people is just the only sandtrooper they need. How are we gonna sell these other 3,000 of the slightly different one. I'm sure the second one will be made in smaller numbers, no way everybody wants/has space for multiple sandtroopers.

Yeah, I'm definitely in that camp. I did contemplate wanting to get the second sand trooper but now there are so many other figures it moves to second priority pretty quick. Although they do look better together as a team.....decisions decisions

As much as I'd like to get this Sandtrooper (Squad Leader), I think I'll probably just wait for the Sergeant version. I already have the orange pauldron RO Jedha Patrol Stormtrooper, and I figure I'd go for a different color pauldron next.

I hear ya but the weathering is much better on the OT sandie imo. Way too many stormie variants these days!!!

I just received this figure and i love him. My only issue is that I was taking photos and noticed the blaster is missing the "magazine". has anyone else come across this problem?

Try checking the inside of the figure box. It may be floating around in there.

And by the way, its a "magazine", not clip.

I got this figure in a month ago. I love it, but the hour of setting the figure up seriously made me question my love of Hot Toys. The damn helmet and neck just kept popping off. It is a beautiful figure though, might be my favorite trooper even after dealing with the set-up issues.

Try checking the inside of the figure box. It may be floating around in there.

Unfortunately, it isn't in the box nor the shipper. I feel dumb contacting sideshow about it but I'm sure they have these parts on hand.

And if they don't, they should give you a credit of some sort so you can go buy a replacement. I got a scratched shoulder pad on a FO stormtrooper and also a scratched barrel on the gun of my death trooper specialist so HTs have QC issues to some degree.

To be honest, after setting up, futzing and finding the right pose to get it just right, that's about how long it takes me to set up almost any new figure I get.

For those who have been procrastinating on this guy like I have, SS is finally showing low stock.. I decided to order it yesterday after seeing the notice. Used the mothers day $30 off coupon (which also ended yesterday), and with the free S&H basically saved over $50, plus get $9.50 added to my rewards... $189 + free S&H is/was the lowest I've ever seen it anywhere new, and being as it'll be gone soon I finally caved in.. The price will slowly rise on this guy once he's gone from SS.

With my luck, now the new white pauldroned will go up soon since I gave up waiting to see which I liked better!!!
