Isn't he looking to his right for the ROTJ deluxe? They could have at least made him look the other way. Either way I'm so hyped for this, it looks phenomenal. Makes me want to bust this bad boy out again!

Posting again for awesomeness. This is such a great figure. I can't believe the weathering they did on it.

Hot Toys never weathers their figures this much !!

The base sucks

You'd rather have the Jawa style topper?

Yes, that would've made a change...

I think the HT will work well as Dagobah Luke.

And leave the full cold weather gear Sideshow on Hoth.

Says pending licensor approval. No idea why they wouldn't approve that in a heartbeat.

In some ways it's good if SS goes first. Gives HT a bar to exceed.

Then again we are probably looking at Howards prototype which we'll never see again !

LOL ... true about Howard?s toys.

I always knew they would kill with the helmet paint, but the rest...very, very nice. The additional weathering and accessories are no doubt there to help their offering be more distinct.

Yep, and it's obviously meant to be directly post snow speeder crash. Harpoon + snow stand. So you would expect more weathering from that crash you would expect. Not sure about direct screen reference pics for that. But this is clearly their inspiration.

Comparisons with other points in the movie will undoubtedly show up differences.

They don't like 100% accuracy. Some part have to be screwed. Then, licensor can approve.

wtf... this is a totally different prototype just a day later? Never seen that happen before - what a nice surprise.:lol

WOW that 100% new jacket looks way better than the first prototype's jacket in fabric choice, color, volume, length, cut/sew and weathering. .:horror And love those boots, which look a bit better here than on proto #1, even the flightsuit shines on this figure with a nice color contrast between jacket and suit, unlike proto #1.

MUCH more excited for this fig now (though I was getting it no matter what.):yess:

The helmet looks better too, but why do figure makers always have to place the rebel insignias so high? They are supposed to be further down toward the front - it's the same thing Sideshow messed up, though the insignias look better here. Love that sharper white color over the more yellowy grey of the Sideshow helmet, but hopefully the final helmet deco is a darker maroon, the red's still too light.

The webbing straps and knee bandolier will hopefully be changed - both look like they're from a Hasbro 12" figure. Grenade's too small but nice they included it to go with the grappling gun.

And let's all say it together.................. HOPE IT MAKES IT TO P.O.!

Much better. Jacket is a different colour and has a slight sheen to it.

They listened to our complaints! :lol 100% sold now, looks great. :drool

Wipes the floor with Sideshow's. Head sculpt is a placeholder surely.

Last part I'm not so sure about. Looking as this seems ready now, I'm thinking we might see a preorder soon with the same sculpt. Hope you're right though.

Why show a ****** thrown together prototype in the first place though? Obviously people are going to criticise it.

Seriously, makes no sense. Hey, let's have everyone **** on the lesser one we made for 3 days, and then we'll show the better one we had all along that addresses most of their concerns. Brilliant marketing. :lol

Hopefully they remember the one we liked when it's time to finalize the figure for production.

Yep, also showing a superior figure at a HT event, casual observers associate it even more with Hot Toys and not at all with SS.

This is a 100% definite figure. Liking the idea of a Dagobah display with dirty R2-D2 and Yoda with this one. The Clone Wars stuff does nothing for me, so my wallet is happy with all of those announcements though. Congrats though to all who want the CW figures!
