Trying to figure out why the figures have release dates so far out. HT just opened their "flagship" store in Japan, just after HK had their sovereignty taken away, which lead to President Trump taking away their special economic privileges. Opening a Japan branch might help out with regaining or bettering that. Just a thought.

I believe it's their second Japan "flagship" store and it would have been in the works well before the events leading to the US sanctions so I very much doubt it.

I dont know why people would cancel due to the wait. I mean just preorder and forget about it for two years. [emoji1]

Already forgotten. 2 years passes with frightening speed these days, anyway. [emoji50]

Forgetting about it is actually what drives the cancellation lol

Dunno why. Most places send an email notification that an expensive product is about to charge. Sideshow does it. BBTS does it. TNS Figures posts an "in stock next week" alerts on their posts on Facebook page.

Seems like as of late we have been seeing these pre-sell out or go low stock/wait list rather quickly. I guess I'd rather secure my order and forget about it for two years. If things change in the future where something comes up I'd cancel then rather than this early?[emoji2369]

It?s been like 15 Hot Toys ago since BBTS actually bothered to let me know it was arriving soon and that they were about to charge me for it.

What I meant by forgetting is that as time passes on during a very lengthy PO customers tend to forget about the initial desire they had to own that PO item because they are consistently being bombarded with tons of new reveals that lights a new fire under their ***.

Impulse buying is a real thing and with that comes redistribution of funds.
