Yeah, this feels like the way to go for me.I think I might be going for helmet under arm to have the best of sculpt as well as that great looking helmet.

Nice. This video is pretty awesome as well.
Yeah that would make for an awesome diorama, but even a half-sunken X-Wing would still be absolutely enormous. And maybe still just as long as a Snowspeeder. As much as I would love to get that Snowspeeder for this figure, it is massive and I already have too many oversized pieces. Someone mentioned a few posts back about a sunken X-wing for this figure to stand on with a swamp background. That is the look I think I would like to create
My thought exactly. Cheap gimicks and ugly stickers and a light up saber that nobody takes out of the box. Yet they cant bother to include a right gloved trigger hand or extra hair option or take the time to iron out the blatant helmet inaccuracies. Things like this are unfortunate with hot toys especially the hands thing. Figures are always short on hand options.Just watched Sideshow’s unboxing and review video. Nice review.
I don’t understand the thinking behind including the underside of the AT-AT as a base plate then adding a magnetic feature to it for the grapple gun though. What’s that all about? How are you suppose to display him ascending the grapple gun to the AT-AT while standing on it’s underbelly? Very strange. Seems like a waste…along with that light up saber arm they keep including with figures.
Attach the base to the underside of the shelf above perhaps ?? (with name plate towards the back).Just watched Sideshow’s unboxing and review video. Nice review.

Sure but is that really what HT had in mind? Seems like a lot of work for a less than ideal display option and only useable if it’s in a Detolf or something at that. It’s just an odd thing to include.Attach the base to the underside of the shelf above perhaps ?? (with name plate towards the back).
I know, not ideal. But only way I can think it makes any sense. Wonder if the cord is long enough for that ??
Curious how would someone go about doing this anyway? Attaching it to a surface that can hold the weight of the figure securelyAttach the base to the underside of the shelf above perhaps ?? (with name plate towards the back).

You could do it with double sided tape or the like but the little magnet in the grapple gun would never support a figure‘s weight. You have to use a separate support for the figure just to hold him in mid lift.Curious how would someone go about doing this anyway? Thats exactly what I hate hate HATE with these bases. The flat perspective looks super cheap like something from a dollar store. They did it with endor leia and they are doing it with endor scout and many others. Flat branches and leaves I just dont get it. Even though the sand base is over used its still a good looking base with the dunes sculpted. To me these bases stay in the box. Some perspective on what the stand actually represents...

It depicts a section that's far from flat, and the magnetic attachment is up in a recess. I can't see it really working at all, so remains more of a throwaway gimmick, that rather than throwing away will just remain in the box forever.
Yep definitely weird, but the only way it can make half sense. Adding an ATAT base print is very cheap, but to go to the extent of adding a magnet is very perplexing.Sure but is that really what HT had in mind? Head looks a bit small.....Found these pictures on facebook by Cédric Aymon it's the wind hair again but on the sideshow version. It looks really good. But also look how much of a difference the hair makes on the look of the sculpt!! I have always disliked the rotj hair. Its like its 2 different heads.
The bottom of the base has screw mount groves, I think the intention is you can roof Mount the base, use the waist grabber to hold the fig in place inverted and use the magnet for the illusion, I don't think it was ever designed to bear the figs weightSome perspective on what the stand actually represents...
