Hot Toys Snowtrooper

Has there been any indication that they’re looking at that figure? The Biker Scout along with Han Bespin and Echo Base Luke & Han are pretty much all I’m waiting for.

Yeah, I think they're giving Sideshow's figure a bit more time. Most identical figures—meaning same character from same movie—seem to have a 4- to 5-year distance between them, like the Snowtrooper or ANH Vader. But that timing has gotten a little murkier with Sideshow doing re-releases of certain figures like ESB Boba Fett. But Hot Toys has now shown two Endor figures in Luke and Leia so I would think that Han and the Scout Trooper will follow shortly behind those two.

I took one of the boys for a trip in the snow yesterday.


I find the T piece on the chest armor of these guys particularly prone to falling down. Considering the size I put a tiny piece of paper tape on the inside.

Don't get me wrong I love these snowtroopers from HT but the pants still bug me, they seem a bit off color.

Yeah, the pants aren't as baggy as I'd like them to be. I can never get the mask flap thing in a position I like either.

Agreed. I'm tempted to get the Sideshow figure again for some customizing. Hot Toys gets itself into trouble with the padding they use. Boba Fett had a similar issue, they want everything to be tight and perfect fitting but they sacrifice some realism half the time.

Yeah, I'd actually prefer the SSC body suit and boots, and everything else HT. Although the HT pants will probably improve with removal of padding.
