I think this will sell out relatively quickly as well. There are three different snowtrooper products though, so at least one version might last for a month after release. I don't really see a reason for Hot Toys to revisit this figure though, so once it is gone it will probably be gone for good.

I thought this was released in HK early this week? Aside from a few FB shots where are the rest if inhand images and initial Youtube videos. They usually come out the day of or next.

What about the stands? Is there a chance to have regular stands both troopers? Or to have the "flying" stand be used to a ground Snowtrooper?

You can remove the pole, so it looks like this (left one). Not sure any company makes a crotch grabber compatible with it though:

I think HT's experiment with doing second runs of some of the ANH and TFA figures has run its course. I would be surprised to see second runs for any figures in the future, and they certainly haven't done it for anything since what, the ANH Han and Chewie? I'd say get stuff now while you can.

Hot Toys definitely reminds me of Nintendo, where it definitely seems like they prefer playing it safe and manufacturing too few of an item rather than overestimating demand.

If you get yourself a SnowTrooper, you'll need to get an E-Wed Blaster, If you get the E-Web Blaster, you'll need to get the Commander, If you get the Comander you'll need to get another trooper, if you get another trooper....

I was also trying to hold off, waiting for the DS Commander but he's MIA so I spent all my RP on the 2 pack.

Nah, E-Web does nothing for me. I'm already planning on getting the Commander if and when HT makes it available. :doh

I understand what you mean. Space in the home is finite. I know it's not SW but the Fleet Troopers remind me of Navy soldiers in WWII so I have them maning a flak gun on a shelf protecting my Princess Leia, 3PO and R2. I figured my SnowTroopers will need an E-Web Blaster to balance it out.

I agree. E-Web would just be taking up space for another figure.

I love the E-Web, and displaying that with 3 or more snowtroopers always looks great, but to me it's a borderline diorama; something I just don't do on my shelves. I find I can mix and match character displays for visual interest, fun contrasts or whatever, but when you get into hardware it becomes more problematic from a space standpoint. The SSC Probe Droid isn't really a 'character' per se, but it looks so good it gets a pass.

Besides, it dropped the dime on those rebel scum. ;)

Thanks! I hadn't heard of Monkey Depot but looks like they check out. I guesssss I'm expanding beyond ANH!

Glad I preordered today seeing that they're selling out so fast. OT troops go out real fast due to army building.

MD is reliable and has some of the best prices around. I've ordered plenty from them and I've never had an issue, I currently have an order from them in route at the moment.
If you're interested in parted out pieces from figure sets, they regularly part out Military and Movie/TV show themed figures usually late in the evening Mon-Fri and sometimes on the weekend. They do part out Star Wars figures but it's infrequent.

Also there's Toy Anxiety in case you haven't heard of them, they're also reliable. They also part out sets in the same pattern but more often part out Hot Toys sets.
They have a Thread here on the Freaks forum where they announce what they've parted out and have a monthly contest for custom figures submitted by members:

Definitely glad I pre-ordered this guy. With the way these snowtroopers are selling out everywhere, they may go wait-listed at Sideshow before they even get released.
