I tried using a hair dryer, but it did nothing. lol - not sure if Sideshow would even take me seriously with this sort of thing; especially since I went through a huge ordeal with them recently with my 4-LOM.

You can see a couple of the creases (in the middle below right eye & right below left eye) and there's one across the nose that you can't see in the picture.

This one is less subtle but does have a few indentations and the left sided corner has some chunks taken out.

I'm pretty sure I'm being really nitpicky (even for OCD perfectionist standards) and these issues are normal. But I'd love to hear your input on if this warrants any replacements or if it's just normal 'wear & tear.'

I know from experience that sometimes a very visible fault in hand can be almost impossible to capture in a picture so no judgement, but I can't see SS even remotely entertaining a replacement based on what I see there. Best case they'll let you return (at your cost) for refund (minus shipping charged and NRD).

Take it as a unique look that will stand out if you end up with more than one. One thing that bugs me is when OT troopers appear to look like clones. Not a fan of the concept and like for more individualized looks on display. Agree with momaw not much to do other than return it if you do not like to looks.

Yes you're being nitpicky.
Do a comparison to the SS version. Do a comparison to a piece of cloth over 5 real soldiers in a war in the snow.

They will all be different, they will all be creased.

Trying to make something that thin and delicate flat is bound for disaster. Live with it.

Plus if the HT commander is ever released that will be perfectly flat.

That's so true. And your not being judgemental..I appreciate your honesty. That eases my mind so much. I figured that the two I received are normal examples of how that material looks across the board. I just wanted to make sure mine weren't an exception to the rule - as in everyone else's are perfectly smooth without any flaws at all lol.

I appreciate the feedback. Yep, I'll just be keeping it. No need to do all that just to get another that would be just the same or even more "unique."

I'm glad I was put in check with this, so I'll live with it. At least I know now I'm not the only one that doesn't have a perfect facemask lol. I'm aware at times I can be quite neurotic by neurotic standards. I just really LOVE this figure. So my QC, an al retentive standards were set unrealistically high. But sometimes I just don't know if it's a real issue or I'm just being ridiculous. Glad it was the latter with this - cause I certainaly don't have a couple hundred dollars lying around right now to entertain my anexiety.

Tis true. I really hope Sideshow gets there sh it together with it or I'll just have to wait for that Hot Toys beauty that was originally showed off.

Yeah no hard feelings, just seemed a bit over the top to me.

Maybe to make peace with yourself, you should compare your mask with all snow troopers in the movie. As that should be the real bar for an OCD person :) They are all different. So in the end it doesn't really matter much.

I appreciate it. Ha..I wish it was that easy. For me it's only about what the company had in mind - which it wasn't intentional with the creases and such. I like the idea of just posing the head to create non-permanent creases. So it's just a sigh of relief that ppl aren't saying "mine's perfectly smooth with no imperfections at all." But again, thanks for putting it to me straight and being supportive.

So to upgrade my SS, I just need to keep the boots and find all the other parts right?

Opened my first two pack yesterday. I still like my sideshow figs but these HT smoke them overall. The helmet and gloves are the most obvious visual improvements. But the shape, fit, and execution of the armor is also vastly improved. The stock HT body with it's articulation and ability to hold any reasonable pose is a huge leap forward as well.
