I’m pretty sure there are people out there that want to be like you and make awesome stands, Coco.

But that would be identity theft and

For those that have this figure:

Would this pose/set up effect the head sculpt of the figure over time, or is it mostly when the gas mask is on?

Strap might affect it, but don’t worry about that. Have fun! Enjoy the h**l out of them, I too worry about such things often, but doing so stresses me out. Which takes a lot of fun out of it. Might be due to their high price tag and interest to retain its value.

But sadly, the stuff on our figures and their body stiffness will degrade over time, so don’t worry about some minor bleed of paint that will most likely be completely unnoticeable. Cheers, have a nice Sunday!

Love this!
And the thing is this is the pose it in so why worry. I’ll always have it like this, for the most part. And you are right…relax, enjoy and have fun!

Ever since I've had him he's worn the gas mask over a sculpt I cut up for the purpose. That was always my intended look for the figure, ever since it was first shown.

However, with the mask it always looked like he was jutting his chin out awkwardly, and I could never overcome it with futzing. Today I decided to change his appearance, and have the best of both worlds, because I also like the 'General Veers' look.

In order to allow the mask to hang low enough I unplugged the hoses from the backpack. The plugs are still quite close to the sockets, so it didn't take much to get the mask to hang comfortably far enough from his face.

Han retrieved his helmet chin strap from my Death Squad Commander kitbash...

...but I don't like it as much as he looked without the strap.

Couldn't figure out why my mind was telling me it looked wrong until I looked for photos of General Veers:

His strap is almost hidden there, because it's tucked under his chin and devoid of a cup.

So I've removed the strap from Han and given it back to the Death Squad Commander, and imagined that Han has simply fastened the strap behind his head.

After all, there's historical precedent for doing that:

During WWII many US soldiers did the same because they'd heard that strapping their chins to their helmet was potentially fatal. They believed that the force of an explosion combined with the weight of the helmet could snap their head back and break their neck.

Asta I love how you have single handedly resurrected all of the old threads! I’m tempted to join you, I’ve got a lot of figures I haven’t photographed in years.

For years I struggled taking photos with the old camera, and assumed that photography was just frustrating and usually unrewarding. Occasionally I got a shot I liked, but it was mostly a chore.

When the camera finally died I was in two minds whether to savour the relief of not having to take photos any more, or buy a new camera. Of course, the latter was the inevitable option.

I did a bit of research, took a leap and got the new camera. With the right settings, and using manual zoom and focus I'm finding photography much more rewarding now. So I've been gradually working my way through my figures, updating my photo collection.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but does anyone know where to get the ponchos used for the Mudtroooer and Mimban Stormie customs? I can't seem to find any on eBay unless they have a very specific name I'm missing.
