Seems like a downgrade from the proto
Re: the Holland headsculpt? Some shots look like that but some don't; the angle and eye position seems to make a big difference...which it often does, but I feel like they've gone with such a particular expression here that the rolling eyes really wanna be looking off to the side, and that otherwise it feels a bit off. Feel like need to see video of it to really tell

How so? They look like the same figure to me.

More or less agreed but we had v few pics of the proto so we all thought it was a home run but I think it's arguable that it is a bit less of one from some angles. Though I'll admit I'm being picky. But it's kinda wild how different his demeanour and expression (and the likeness) comes across depending on the angle:

Looks pretty good so far to me, looking forward to more in-hand pics, might pick the standard up if people think he will pose well without too many problems - I still need a Spidey to go with my spidey villains

Not digging the look of the materials in these blogger pics. HT has yet to make a Spider-Man figure that has wowed me.

My favourite superhero of all time and I don’t have a single figure of him.
Yeah the blue areas always come off a little thick and plastic-y. But the body proportions under the suit have been improving.

Yeah I get that. Plus, it’s a hair style only see for a moment on film, so it looks a bit off to me as well. But overall, the quality and design hasn’t appeared to have changed much at all from proto to production.

Not sure if you'll ever be wowed then. We've had Video Game Spideys, a Comic Spidey, 3 different dudes playing Spidey...

You holding out for that Nicholas Hammond??? Electric Company???

Hell yeah Nicholas Hammond - yknow all the movie interpretations of spidey just dont crawl around on the sides of buildings enough in that slow spidery way that I was wowed by in that movie/tv show as a little kid hah

Neck seam looks great but man Hot Toys is just unable to properly nail the head shape for Hollands version. It's always looks wonky.

The unmasked look for this figure is definitely the way to go.

Wonky...in what way? Although the furrowed brow doesn't really scream Tom Holland but maybe it's tied to his uncertain adventures ahead without his best friend and his girl.
