Ironic that Medicom did the Mcfarlane Spider-man years ago..which wasn’t that bad at the time..just the body was cheap plastic actually owning one

I've thought about buying a second body to either paint a darker blue or create a battle-damaged version, but can't find one cheap enough.

Absolutely loving the necks on Tobey and Andrew. Surely they can’t keep Tom Holland looking like that. The suit covering the entire neck looks stupid and isn’t accurate.

That Holland sculpt already looks dated/too young. Did HT ever make a different one for him? That looks like it’s from Homecoming.

Though as I'm getting all three. I would be happy with Tobey spider-man being my one, and only version. I don't like ugly neck seems but for this it's definitely a good idea. Plus I like the actual material masked sculpt myself.

I think Tobey and Garfield have to be displayed with the head sculpts for me. HT have done an amazing job on Maguire and I’m expecting similar wonders with Garfield after the update.
NWH made it cool to have multiple Spideys and, as dumb as it was for them to continually remove their masks when the values of anonymity was such a key component of the plot, it was still pretty heartwarming to have them all interacting, emoting and playing off of one another.
I’m not interested in any of the Holland suits yet but he may join the club eventually.

Thunder toys will be my masked, dynamically posed display option and the other two can just stand around looking pretty.

Well Popcultcha finally has this up for preorder.

They've got it for $648($720)AUD (early preorder/retail), whereas Sugo has it for $680($750)AUD. As always Popcultcha is the better deal for Hot Toys figures.

So after my usual 10% discount, I got it for $583.20 AUD shipped (about $400 USD). Still a bit pricey I guess, but I started collecting after the original was long sold out.

That's even worse. I'd take the complaints of a fold on the collar area than have it look like a turkey chin.

And if thats the case and it does look like that then it shows that it only looks slightly better than the original one from 11 years ago

Didn't everyone already know Tom's Spidey was Peter at that point in the movie? The other two being from different universes probably didn't care who saw them.

Yeah, you can explain it away like that. Maybe Tobey and Garfield’s peters were just jumping at the opportunity to let their faces breath for once but, after many years of crime fighting and actively concealing their identities, I still wouldn’t expect them to break a career long habit so frequently and nonchalantly.
All heroes take their masks off far to often for my liking in movies but, when you’re paying half the movie’s budget for big names, you need to get your moneys worth.

Since it's pretty common for someone here to have had multiple Hot Toys Spider-Man figures, I think there's excitement but also reliastic expectations.

The Homecoming Tech suit regularly had a terrible seam, some far worse than others. But they did send out replacement heads which were better.

And the tailoring was improved when the figure was re-released as the Movie Promo version, including the head seam.

So they have definitely learned from missteps. The seam on this figure won't be perfect but I don't think it'll be that awful either. Unless they mess up royally, in which case the outcry from the legion of upset Tobey fans will result in another head replacement initiative.

One question i wanna ask is why is the release date is so far away? Just wondering. I know other figures have these far away release dates too but I'm just wondering if it was always like this with hot toys.

lol, if anything it'll take longer. 1.5-2 year release windows have been the norm since Infinity War-Endgame, and the shipping/supply chain/manpower issues of the last few years haven't helped. Once upon a time figures had somewhat reasonable release windows and may even come out early, but that's a distant memory
