This is a perfect toy.

Prop it is not; helmet is too idealized and symmetrical for that.

Not that it detracts from my enjoyment one whit.

The only other things upon first impression:

The shoulder armour is strapped tight but moves around, in the wrong position it came make the shoulders seem narrower than they are.

The E-11 blaster may be over-scaled. Gonna run and grab an SSC blaster for a quick comparison.

SSC above, HT below.

Sculpts appear identical save the barrel perforation on the HT vs. the full as opposed to partial folding stock apparatus on the SSC.

To the naked eye the HT still appears slightly more robust. Vernier gauge says....

SSC barrel top to bottom minus stock is 7.9mm high.

Same measurement on HT is 8.21mm.

SSC from butt to front tip of folded stock that juts underneath barrel is 80.6mm.

Same measurement on HT is 82.98.

Note that the measurement is flush against rifle butt, not the loop and ring that extends from it.

Correction: stock has full apparatus, appears to deploy a little differently. My bad.

They look great man! Can't wait to try that peeking around corners thing Pixel mentioned. :lol Should make for some fun instagram photos.

[...] You are going to love them man. Seriously great work from HT. I questioned the paint application on the Shadow, but now I totally get it with these guys, the subtle layers of gloss paint has a sort of translucency which gives the armour scale and enamelled look almost. It doesn't look like plastic.

I concur. As already mentioned, the paint app has depth and gives "weight" to the armour.

You see it's a sign of how good these are that I'm jealous when I see you got two sets. :lol

Gonna need more. :monkey3

Great informative pics for those who haven't gotten the set yet. :rock

Nerd Walk With Me.

Appreciate all the detailed pics, ZE! Keep going! :clap

Nerd Walk With Me.

What's rigid, the armor? Like SS? I thought it would be more pliable than that.

And what are the power cells? Those boxy things -- always thought that was just for ramming.

The armour feels pretty stiff, but not brittle. Not too thin either like the pieces on *cough* Iron Man *cough* . :rotfl

may I ask what these are all running you, coming from HK? I am seeing $470ish ebay...is that accurate?

I overpaid like a little ***** for these to the tune of $300 each. You can find them for $250 now but they got here freaking FAST which is what overpaying like a little ***** was all about.

When your lady gets back with the big-boy/girl camera, get some shots of these guys running around the floor and peeking around corners - those shots are always stellar.

Will do!

Looks like you could put Luke's head and neck on that body, no?

Haven't tried removing that neck joint...I imagine it's moddable.

Take a breath. Breathe.....

Now adjust your blaster pic since there is no on top.

If I'm right, the HT blaster looks exceedingly more detailed.

No on top? The HT has perforations and may be a touch sharper and is (as confirmed by Vernier gauge) a touch larger. But the sculpt and details appear the same right down to the Hengstler counters and assorted Greeblies. Sergiu should have that memorized...

Just wanted to confirm which was the Sideshow one. The one on the right, yes? With less weathering?

Yup. Sideshow's doesn't have actual holes in the barrel, just indentations. The later releases, with some of the Sandtroopers, included different amounts of weathering all over the gun.

Last ones. The finish on these has a richness to it...under some killer display lighting these will be nuts.

Bit dark, but they'll do.
They show up the couple of paint defects on the front of the helmets
