Their database and store UI does have the ability to offer different pricing on different grades, even if they don't use it all the time. I bought a graded Tumbler that had been returned that was priced differently from another one in the same listing.

I grabbed a spare breast plate from TA for $13, but I think I'd be happy to display the Spacetrooper, plus it's seems like a time consuming swap. The chest plate has to be removed obviously and I think the shoulders have to be removed as well, and maybe even the lower chest/groin piece.

Yeah, I'm happy to display the Spacetrooper as is. I think its so unique, likely few and far between, and even though not accurate it is a fun piece -- something new from the very old.

That I know about. That makes sense. But psyching out a collector by telling them they must pay full retail for a substandard piece is just... a psyche out.

Of course. Ages ago.

Ah okay, I went back in the Spacetrooper thread and remember it now. There's really no definitive "accurate" for the space gear. The Hot Toys version looks more accurate than the Marmit comparing it to the Joe Johnson shot, but they may have also invented the rocket boosters. Who knows. It still looks great, but this is the wrong thread for that.

I like it, I'll buy it.

But the truth can be seen in the film -- which is always, or should always, be the default fact check. You can see the twin vertical tanks are white and that there clearly are no rocket jets under the horizontal canister.

Seems HT made a mix of the Marmit version, the Hasbro 3inch version and then added a little flair of their own.

The entire Spacetrooper thing is a fascinating, weird little oddity in the ocean of obsessive suit accuracy insanity out there. The two troopers really do seem to have slightly different packs as well.

Yeah, honestly its so hard to tell anything. The packs they wear don't even look like the packs worn by Joe Johnson in the famous pics. Not sure what actually ended up on screen. But that's the case with so much of the first Star Wars.

You would think those 501st guys would have worked this one out though, right?

Popcultcha in Australia just jacked the price up too. AU$550 now - I pre-ordered mine at AU$520.

They had to raise the price to make the $640 they are charging for TFA Trooper 2 pack look less terrifying. I notice they left the single at it's original price.

Do we know if the hose is attached to the breast plate or not, I haven't read or seen any pictures? Although I like the idea of having the option to display him as a regular Stormtrooper, the more I think about it the more I realize I probably won't anyways. :lol

For me the choice was between the tall trooper or the Spacetrooper, decided to get the Spacetrooper and keep my Marmit Stormtrooper and display them together.

We haven't seen anything to confirm that, but if the backpack and hose do come off it will probably leave some holes, unless they made it magnetic. Haven't seen any clear shots that confirm exactly how they attach. At this point I've come around as well and just plan to display him as the defender of space that he is.

I read somewhere that the backpack does attach magnetically, no info on the hose though. Should probably post this in the Spacetrooper thread and not here. :lol
