My second HT stormie has no flaws at all - incredible piece. My first one a had a few minor paint flaws and issues with swapping hands. The second one is about as top notch quality as you could expect. The HT helmet sculpt isn't that accurate but these are just stellar quality figures in-hand.

I unfortunately can't afford these...I have the poor mans version. I have six Sideshow Stormies, I picked up the last two for $70 each when folks were upgrading theirs to Hot Toys. I have the chest armors curved in, Future polish applied and picked up Hot toys cod pieces from Toy Anxiety for all them along with hands. They look pretty decent to me, I'm happy with how they look.

I had a similar problem with my single trooper. A lot of tidbits got unglued, easy fix though - glad no paint issues at all.
But the pair of TK's arrived flawless.

I'm gonna risk waiting a bit longer before shelling the $475.

No need to worry, you won't be shelling out $475. ;) They're down to 5 units now (all in what BBTS considers "sub-standard" packaging) - I wonder how much the last two will cost?

This is pretty incredible -- watching the last 5 two-packs slowly disappear. I wonder who the lucky five will be? Members here, or scalpers?
I'm sure these will be pretty expensive on the aftermarket but it's hard for me to see anyone making a big profit from them. HT and BBTS already price this stuff at the top of the market and there are only a few that will pay anything more, I think. I don't see these going for $800 or anything that would be worthwhile for a scalper. Will be interesting to see the completed sales on e.Bay in a few months time.

Yep, although I've seen plenty of single Iron Man figures selling for near $600 at various times -- before the v2's. Will be interesting to see just how high Star Wars HT figures will go on the aftermarket, given the disinterest in China as a driving factor.

When this movie hits, everyones gonna be going star wars crazy. The price is only gonna go up.

Yeah it makes you wonder if HT curbed the volume on these given the rather paltry reception to Star Wars figs in Asia. Unless the e-tailers are holding back inventory, there really is not that much remaining for the OT line figures.

I think unlike most figures one could probably buy from BBTS at $475 plus the shipping and make that back on resale but not much more. They're doing a very good job of pricing these at the upper limit of what most people are willing to pay, IMO. My experience selling here is that few people have $500 US+ to spend in one payment. Of those sales, I've maybe not lost money on 2 or 3, tops. Stormtroopers will keep their value (which is high praise, nowadays) but I don't see them going for $800 or anything like that. Time will tell, I guess!

I'll bet money in Vega$ that as soon as these are gone they will be selling for $800+ on ebay.
