The Spacetrooper appeared in SW, it was a single suit made for this and worn by Joe Johnston (the "other" was just a mirror). The HT figure is decently accurate, the backpack has some artistic interpretation to it. Some parts from the back pack were found on the Death Star.

If the other was just a mirror, why do they move incongruently both in time and position, one arm bent, the other straight, and not mirror image...wouldn't it have been easier to have one as a projected image or just make another backpack for another suit. Just curious, maybe it's a known thing to the stormtrooper community, but I'm not familiar enough with this particular shot.

This doesn't appear to be a mirror effects shot since they are in two very distinct positions and the hoses aren't even mirrored.:

I definately got a return, stickers were tampered with the head arrived scratched to hell. There are other scratches on the legs and the chest which I won't bother posting. Nobody in their right mind would keep this trash, all they're doing is wasting resources (shipping cost and employee time) trying to pass this garbage off on customers when they should be sending this crap back to hot toys for a vendor credit. I am growing tired of wasting my own time taking photos (especially this chromed out muther***er which was a *****), of thier damaged goods, emailing them and driving to ups to return the crap.

This is the problem with nrd I knew all the problems with this figure but I had to wait to receive this pos so I could get my money back. If i canceled before I would have lost money. Where is my compensation for wasting my time??

Sorry to hear that. :(

By the way, how long does it take for SS to reimburse my credit card after cancelling a flex-pay plan?

That is totally unacceptable. There's no way to fix it once the chrome has rubs.

They are sending me a replacement knee piece which they say just clips on or something or is it the whole leg

And they are sending me a replacement helmet

I've never heard of the two troopers being mirrored, nor have I heard much of anything about the making of these troopers or what happened to the suits/gear, but in one of the few pics that survive you can clearly see two troopers on set. They're not mirrored, they are two guy standing in different poses looking at one another on set.

Right...the only time I've ever seen anything close, was the digital mirroring of two stormtroopers to four on opposite sides of the street in mos Eisley in the special edition of anh when the landspeeder first enters the city.

EDIT: Here's the more recent tweet about this:

Its been so long since ive watched the special editions. Seem to remember hating that scene though. Am i right in thinking a million things pass in front of the screen and it just looks crowded and messy.

There was a discussion if there was only one Spacetrooper suit made or two. The conclusion was that there was only one suit made and used.
