I see a lot of potential with good futzing here. Whenever Sideshow gets their hands on protos to demo they don't always deliver on the presentation.

I had to go look at mine because i totally forgot about the tongue thing. Still don't see it. Lighting or how i have it posed i guess.

Yeah, the ROTS Anakin and Obi-Wan were right up my alley but I honestly wasn?t a huge fan of the sculpts so I passed on them.

I was definitely gonna buy the ROTS-Kenobi, because I always thought the impression of that permanent sticking out tongue was just prominent on some pictures. We all know how difficult it can be to make decent pics of figures.

Then I saw him live last year while shopping in London, and I couldn't for the life of me ignore the unfortunate "tongue-feature". So I decided against buying it.

I envy everybody who doesn't see it. Carry on and enjoy! But I'm disappointed that his CW-figure features the exact same headsculpt. All I can see right in the first pic in this thread is his tongue sticking out, so this is once again a pass from me.

It's a good base. The proportions just need making more heroic...wider collar armour, bigger deltoid armour and less flared out fabric at the hips.

What ****ing tongue are you guys talking about lol. Id more be concerned with the tailoring of the outfit then the reused rots head sculpt At this point. If they dont fix that or make it look better then the head sculpt is irrelevant. Nobody in their right mind would buy this if what we see here is the final product regardless of the head sculpt- just like anakin it looks like a cheap kitbash as is- the headsculpt is actually the best part of the figure, its the only thing that looks like it was made by hot toys and not a kitbasher or some knockoff company

I dont see a tongue but i agree its a bit soft but knowing hot toys if they Re-use the same rots headsculpt the paint job will be even better. Thats how they get people to rebuy the same sculpt, theyve been doing the same thing with captain america figures forever lol. They also did this with Rots anakin, the darkside version is painted a tad bit better then the regular but its the exact same sculpt. The sculpt itself is good its the paint job that failed, the proto for rots obi wan looked amazing so if they just up the game a bit you guys will have no complaints with the hs, its the outfit thats terrible

I hope this goes up for pre order soon. I spent a long time agonizing over whether to get the Mythos Obi-Wan (incredible design, but doesn't pair well with my HT Star Wars figures) or the ROTS Obi-Wan (solid figure, but somewhat plain)--and then this guy comes along and is the clear winner. I always loved the armored Clone Wars look. I might even be tempted into getting a matching Anakin.

Yeah it kinda does lol. The normal Jedi robes from his ep 3 figure doesnt work well on this version. They should have used the same material they used on the Anakin
