Every ST figure thread has been like this for the past few years, lol.

I was kinda looking forward to this figure, and definitely hoping for Hot Toys to get the likeness right this time but no dice. At least the head can be swapped out for the TFA version but those arms don?t really work for a lightsaber wielding character.

I think it's passable. My main gripe is with the costume; it's way too clean. I might settle for the Kotobukiya Rey statue. The new Ren is really the only thing I've got my eyes on.

Why do people always call for figures to be convention/toy fair exclusives? What is the fetish with that?

Less of a fetish and more of a prediction. I don't really expect "Dark Rey" to be more than a vision or something along those lines and something that brief usually hits the convention exclusive route. From Sideshow's own mouth a few years back they look to something that people won't be pissed if they miss but would still want to buy as exclusives. Given the amount of time I expect this character to be in the film it tees up to the that perfectly.

Yeah, but those usually end up on sideshow. That would be the Rey I'm going for. Looks awesome.

However that figure gets made I'm sure it'll end up on SSC, that I'm not worried about. What I might be worried about is if it isn't a general release having it sell out before I can get one.

The hood seems to be too shallow in both the film and figure. It would look so much better pulled a little more forward IMO

I want a Hot Toys Rey and Kylo, but it would be an absolute shame if these awful-looking figures were the last chance.
