I was really hoping for sculpted hair on Baby Doll.

I don't know... I still think it could be sculpted hair.

I show the blurred photo to my grandson and he asked me if they're going to be making Blue. I turned quickly and said, "Blue!" That never entered my mind. Told him if they make more it would probably be the other two girls.

I would be mad as ____ if they made Blue.

Looks sculpted to me, especially the way it hangs but it is hard to see from the picture, hopefully we'll get the official pictures soon. These have definitely grabbed my attention though

part of me was scared HT would release the cook first, or someone equally marginal. and release baby doll based on sales of that oh-so-tempting first figure (rorschach, i'm looking at you... again).

i like what we're seeing so far... these should look great.

I think the biggest problem with Baby Doll (based on the pic) is her skirt. That couldn't be any more toy-like the way it flares up on the sides and it almost makes it look like a cheap custom. If she has rooted hair that could be a problem as well. I'm sure HT did the best they could with the tailoring at that scale but right now its looking like BD's outfit isn't going to translate very well.

Amber still looks good so far. Too bad they didn't lead off with Sweet Pea as one of the first two.

And to whomever is complaining that Baby Doll looks Barbie-ish... Really? Have you not seen the source material? Between her hair style and her outfit there's no way that she wasn't going to look like a doll.

It is too hard to tell. My guess is sculpted, but I could be utterly wrong

LOL I don't get it either. Companies like EB and HT practically NAIL a figure's likeness and someone always gets upset that real blood doesn't pump through the figure or the skin doesn't sweat.
